The game HAD to be moved. Too good of a match up to be on some alternate channel crap station. Now don't get sick!!!!!!!

I recently got back on Twitter for sports media reasons, updates, etc.… Needless to say I sent a reasonably upset tweet at the Illini and Missouri Twitter accounts about the game being the SEC+... and what a shame this was for the fans.

Glad it worked 😉

Hope I am entirely wrong, but I see this as one of the toughest games to win on the schedule. Mizzou is darned good and experienced with nothing to lose and will be motivated and bringing high energy all night. If they come out hot, the Illini will have a tough hill to climb. Matching their energy will be tough, but I'm thinking Illini lessons were learned and the energy and motivation will be notched up a couple of levels. If Illini can get in to Pinson's head and keep him out of the lane and make Smith handle the ball more on the perimeter, a good start can be had. If not, and he gets into the lane and dishes or scores early, Illini get behind and Kofi gets into foul trouble....Illini looking up all night. Can't predict this one but Illini should be able to match them score to score the first half and gain an advantage late. Tigers are so unpredictable and their energy level so volatile that they can be hard to foresee. Sure don't feel a beat down of the Tigers coming and just hope to get out of Columbia with a win that is much overdue in this classic match-up.

Haven't seen Missouri play yet this season...but if they've looked at any of the Duke game film, I would bet we will see some full court pressure.....Hopefully we've worked on that aspect of our game over the last few days....we didn't handle Duke's full court pressure as well as we need to.
I disagree... We finished with lots of dunks/3s from their pressure (7 sec offense) - lots of turnovers too, but we have shown a tendency to struggle in 1/2 ct offense. I doubt Miznoz will press us though.

I have not seen them this year either, but my question would be are they deep enough to expend the energy to press full court for any meaningful time? My guess is no and Cuonzo would prefer that energy be expended in half court defense and running the court on offense utilizing the speed and quickness of Pinson. I did not pay enough attention to the Duke pressure but the few times I did, the Illini, at least once, played the full court press perfectly...no dribbles and getting the ball passed quickly to the middle of the court which is a must to be effective. If a press moves the ball down the sideline, the sideline becomes and extra defender and turnovers abound. What I saw was a team knowing that, quick sharp passes, and the ball ending up in DFW's hands in the half court circle....perfect execution.

Duke , No F*N Question......Duke is a much Bigger Win and I'm sorry , but if there is any truth to they are 100% on schollie offers to ILLINOIS KIDS.. Vomit.
Duke is near 100%, didn't land Richard Keene and Sean Harrington. Them getting Cory Maggette in the 11th hour still hurts.

I’ll take Ayo, Trent and Curbelo against most presses

Hope you're right....but we didn't look confident in breaking Dukes full court pressure....not saying we didn't get a few buckets off their pressure, but we certainly turned it over a few times as well....I guess time will tell....but that was one part of our game that I thought we struggled in against Duke.....and free throws could be crucial in this game as well.

I watched some of the highlights of Missouri. They look pretty good on offense but not so good on defense. Mark Smith seems to be lighting it up from 3 and they seem to be doing more running this year. I don't think this is going to be an easy game.

I think the veterans guide us to a solid 7 point victory. Misery offense looks formidable. Trent or Ayo on Mr. Smith? Can’t wait to watch it.

I think they will unless we prove we can beat it. We have a crazy number of turnovers the last 3 games. If I were Missouri I would challenge us and see what happens. I actually hope they do because we need to show we can handle it. We certainly have the players to beat it.
