Omaha is decent(like visiting zoos whenever theres a good one around) but that's about it.
Omaha makes up for a lot with their food. And the great thing about Nebraska is every small town having a prime special on a different day. The winters are brutal though. And allergies as I recall. I miss lunch at the Sons of Italy. Rough times, but I met a lot of nice people out there.

I am anxious to see what improvements the offense has made during the bye week.

And also hear more about devo guys that have been emerging - which of the freshmen will get some opportunities in the last few games?

I think four of our next five games will be comfortable wins. Nebraska's OL doesn't stand a chance agoinst our D, and I expect our running game to eat yards reliably. That means even if we make a bunch of mistakes, we should still win comfortably. Think, Virginia.

Good guys 42 - Nebarksa 15

Excuse my stupidity, and i'm embarrassed to say it, but i don't understand how the odds work. If we are a 5.5 point favorite, what does that actually mean? All i understand is that we are favored.

If you bet on the Illini to win , they need to win by 6 points to win the bet .

if you bet on Nebraska to win , you win the bet if they win, or if they only lose by 5 or less .

I like all the optimism but the hardcore Illini fan in me sees the refs screwing us in front of a national audience. I guess if we totally dominate Nebraska the refs eventually realize that even they can't help enough and we win anyway. Could we please just win like 42-3 and be done with it? Just a comfortable, stress-free, happy, little walk thru the park?

I dont gamble - I have heard a local radio show say something about not being able to bet on an in-state event/team. Is this true...if I really felt confident in Illinois, are there websites or do I have to drive to another state? I was really considering this against Minny!

I’m now seeing Illinois -7.5. Has the line moved that much already or am I looking at a different line? (I’m an amateur)

You read across as the spread (-7) then the percentage of the total wagered and then the percentage of the quantity of bets. Same for the total and the moneyline odds.

So currently 96% of spread money has come in on Illinois (across 84% of the bets) and 99% of picking the winner money has come in on Illinois (across 81% of the bets).
