So there's one. Werner doesn't have one, then. There is approximately 1 voter for every FBS program in a state in football. I don't know how that is modified in basketball but it's probably similar. And Richey covers college sports in the market for the only major program in the state so it makes some sense. I'm a little surprised it's not a Chicago writer but maybe we have more than one in basketball in IL.
Not that it's a big deal, but only 61 voters.

You can see each voter's ballot on this website: https://apnews.com/hub/ap-top-25-college-basketball-poll?voter=Scott Richey

Richey has IL at #24 (so does Dick Vitale).

Duke loss rankings will be a mess. I say Baylor 1 USC 2 … Illini 15. Rankings are starting to matter now that we entered into the second half of the season and are based on performance rather than perception

I'm thinking we'll be more like #21.

I hope so…. Even with all the losses this week, I just don’t see too many teams dropping from the top 25. It’s a really tough field right now. Especially when playing in a conference that is perceived to be having a down year.

Agree. #21 - with Kofi's picture used in the Illinois MBB announcement once the rankings are released.

Can someone please help me find the Nebraska game thread?

Doubtful. Coach Underwood has our boys dialed in and I think we'll dominate them
Agreed, and I believe Trent and DMFW understand the limited number of games they have left for the beloved. I think their focus and sense of urgency to make the most of every second on the court is infectious throughout the team too.

Brosky, you may want to ponder on this...
When I was a child, I thought as a child......

Belo's decisions that you are basing your judgement on are as a freshman and a concussion-affected sophomore. We all have heard that the best thing about freshmen is that they become sophomores. Let's see how Belo looks after he's well and playing.
Geez, I thought we buried the Curbelo thread. Give it a rest, please

Warren Nolan is very high on Illinois to finish the season strong. They're projecting a 17 point win at Nebraska and our only conference loss for the remainder of the year to be at Purdue by 5 points. Their model has Illinois finishing at #10 RPI. I'll take it.

You can’t really take this seriously when it projects Iowa to go 15-1 the rest of the way in the big ten……

So when belo comes back who sits?
I hope we use Belo like we did last year. Come off the bench and play 20 minutes a game. He will provide a spark and give Trent a break at times and move Trent off the ball at other times. We need another guy to spell all 4 starting guards. The freshmen will get less time but that is ok.

Are we overlooking Nebraska?
No...Nebraska IMHO has some low D-1 talent in their rotation. Their two best players shouldn't give us an issue, one is a thin freshmen(highly recruited) the other a ball hog. If Curbelo ok, good game to give him 10-15 minutes.

I believe Nebraska will try to double team Kofi and hope we can't hit our 3s

I would be shocked if the Illini go 19-1. They are good but I don't think anyone has ever won 19 B1G games
