If that happens I think that means our D is for real. Chatty's opposition has certainly not been stellar so far this year, but they put the ball in the endzone a lot so far.Would really like to see the defense continue its no-touchdowns-allowed dominance at home.
But what was encouraging/unexpected/satisfying was that first half against Virginia. That sure lifted my spirits on what Walters is building! If that happens I think that means our D is for real. Chatty's opposition has certainly not been stellar so far this year, but they put the ball in the endzone a lot so far.
And not to be Debbie Downer, but our D has shown some lapses here and there, which some team is going to exploit sooner or later. I just hope it's not tonight.

I look for BB to wear down the Chattanooga defense. Illinois offense likes to grind it but they also like to utilize open space and get the ball out quickly. If Chattanooga DL is the most talented part of the D and we can run all over them great. If the DL is over aggressive than the passing game will tear them up.I always think unconventionally so if their pass defense is suspect, what if we come out throwing the ball, surprise them, score a couple of quick touchdowns, then give them a heavy dose of chase brown afterwards?
Well… that’s what they say NOW.I always thought Mocs was short for Water Moccasins. Apparently it's short for Mockingbirds, which is the state bird of Tennessee.
Shades of when the Illini Hockey team changed their intermission "Score-O" game from "Beat the Chief" to "Beat the Chef" by turning the headdress into a toque.Well… that’s what they say NOW.
I actually think our offense is going to bust some big runs tonight. I don't think we get fancy stylistically but we will run the ball and using some play action- RPOIllini 27
Chattanooga 10
Offense keeps me frustrated but defense gives me eternal hope for a 7-8 win season. I-L-L
Sounds low, O/U I’m seeing 44.5Is anybody else thinking the over/ under of 39 is a little low?
I mean I think you’re talking about 2-3 Wyoming plays, the last drive from Indiana and maaaaybe the last 5 minutes of an already- won Virginia game. No one can be on 100% unless you’re Georgia. I think we have been stellar and I think it’ll be the reason we continue to win games. If that happens I think that means our D is for real. Chatty's opposition has certainly not been stellar so far this year, but they put the ball in the endzone a lot so far.

I think we’ll see much of what we’ve seen before from the offense. Not that they won’t throw, but no more than usual. I’d hope they’ve used the bye week to install some new passing plays (as well as runs), but they’ll hold those back for Wisky when some pass plays might be needed to help set up run.I always think unconventionally so if their pass defense is suspect, what if we come out throwing the ball, surprise them, score a couple of quick touchdowns, then give them a heavy dose of chase brown afterwards?

Only since they became politically correct. Previously it was Chief Moccanooga: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chief_MoccanoogaI always thought Mocs was short for Water Moccasins. Apparently it's short for Mockingbirds, which is the state bird of Tennessee.
Pretty cool that one of the football legends played for the Illini and will be at the game tonight! I grew up watching Dick Butkus play for the bears.
I know phonetically it is the same, but I think his name is "Moxon" or "Mox" for short. So I guess, if I hear the word Mocs, I may think of him, but not when I see it. *shrug*Whenever I see this word, I think of this guy:
The Chris Farley/Bielema/Chippendale is a new high for you, Mr Pru. That is some quality material, sir.
I don't like the BYONL part, but I do understand. I really, really do.
