Is Hutch a ballhandler?
I’ve heard competent with the rock...point-guard type handles (at the present time)not so much...but not outside the realm of possibility down the road. (Underwood has experimented with him there in practice at least.)

Take that assessment for what is worth; and to be honest it isn’t worth much since I can’t even remember where I heard it. Werner, I think? Sorry.

To be honest, he’s a guy I’d like to see just get some games under his belt at the 3 and stay healthy for a while before we call on him to be a primary BH.

Friendly reminder that it’s spelled Curbelo, not Curbello. I’ve seen it a ton

Only 1 L. We don’t need any extras L’s right now 😉

Also according to ESPN, Coleman Hawkins is currently our assist leader at 2.7 per game. I expect Curbelo to have a big turn around game Monday after everything he’s had to listen to this week.

Cincinnati doesn’t really have a go to guy on the scoring end, a well rounded team with 6 guys averaging between 7-12.5 points. My gut tells me we play well against that type of squad.

If he can be the third guy with Curbelo and Frazier we can keep 2 handlers on the floor consistently and rotate for breaks and foul trouble. That is something we dearly missed last game.

If all 3 are in now you have 2 really good handlers, Hutch who is solid but probably a tad behind the other 2, and if you have Hawkins in you have a 4th who is above average for his position.

Pick the weakest defender for Kofi to screen and now you’ve got numbers somewhere on the court.

Yep, that all sounds very promising.

This is where I am at. He hasn’t played a D1 game yet and appears unlucky in the injury department. If he contributes, fantastic. But I view any meaningful value add as icing on the cake. Hope he gets well and stays well.

Hutchison hasn't played a D1 game because he's not on our team (which was the point of the joke). On the other hand if we don't get a meaningful contribution of Hutcherson this team is not going to hit its full potential and could have some struggles.

I would not expect much from Hutchison.

Huh? Belo is averaging 5 per game.

The wait for this game is seeming rather long.

I am about to relent and actually open up the Marquette post game thread for entertainment at this point.

I can't believe the game is on ESPNews. I downgraded my Comcast package and don't get that channel anymore. I always thought ESPNews was just for showing the start of games postponed on another channel due to overtime in the previous game. I guess I'll be forced to go to a sports bar and drink on a Monday night. Sucks to be me? I think not.
I just hope they show game full screenand not with all those scores/statistics boxes all over the screen. I did notice that two games with ranked opponents — Villanova vs Tenn and Purdue vs NC — are on ESPNews today.
