Just win!!
And DU had a smaller but VERY vocal crowd at Thursday's game.Should be a good game, but be prepared for the crowd … the Iowa State fans will be rooting against us, and we’ll get to find out why their fanbase is nicknamed the boo birds
Lol, maybe not then. Just the name of the school.Their town is Pittsburgh.
Less talented teams beat more talented teams because they BOTH outshoot and out-hustle them. When we fell behind against Morehead State, they were shooting lights out but you could tell our guys were playing with more grit. It was a matter of time before we blew that game open."... catch and receive passes with two hands .... and just be a tougher team ..." -- Coleman Hawkins, today.
Couldn't have said it better: basics will win the game, when you are (1) better, (2) bigger and ... uh, better (again). Oh: play your hearts out. You will win.
They are aggressive defensively and we like to push the envelope with pace. If we draw a few fouls early we’re going to smoke this team.Someone said that DU's small, quick guards would hurt us with steals. I'm not afraid of that whatsoever. Let the Dukes worry about our taller, stronger guards . Shannon, Domask and Rodgers are all strong with the ball.
You can also sync to the noise of the crowd cheering after a made shot. Takes a bit of practice, but it ain’t rocket surgeryThe trick I did that worked pretty well yesterday was to pause whichever feed had the referee's whistle just before the jump ball and then restart it when the other feed has that same whistle. It worked yesterday because both feeds had the whistle, but I realize that may not happen for every game.
I would listen for horns or whistles to try and sync them up.

Punch them in the mouth (metaphorically) and then keep punching until the clock runs out.
They are a physical, muck it up team and will put the onus on the officials.
Set the tone early and attack, attack, attack in transition and on the offensive boards.
We want their heart; we’ll eat their children?
And he sounds like somebody is pulling his vocal cords out of his mouthI always dislike how March madness rolls around and they put a bunch of ppl who don’t know college bball on the broadcast. Avery about had a stroke trying to figure out Dain Dainja’s name in the first half yesterday until his partner bailed him out. He means well, he just doesn’t know (college) ball
Greg originated and popularized "Daddy Brad" because he made Juwan his beetch, so I dont get too worked up when they say things far less offensive than our own fans do.They also went on a rant a few years ago that our fans are super delusional and annoying and the Michigan guy said something like, “Of course they look back to things like 2005, because they have nothing to look forward to.”
He’s since chilled out since their program has crashed and burned and we’ve beaten them 8 straight times, lol…
Just an earWe want their heart; we’ll eat their children?
This is the biggest one IMO. Anything past a Sweet 16 will be gravy for me. Of course I want more, but going into the season I felt like competing for a Big Ten title and making the Sweet 16 would be a great season & I still feel that way.Time to end the drought today. Five more

Late to this thread but I agree with this to an extent. Teams are definitely out hustling to loose balls though at certain stages in our game, not necessarily only the beginning. Not a big fan of Sleepers but they are wrong. I think our effort is fine at the outset. It was fine against Iowa and Purdue. We've played some good and hot teams in this stretch. The other team is trying to win too.
They aren't the worst seed remaining, though.Let's just call it what it is. Duquense is the worst team left in the tourney.
Real monsters don't play with their food.
