Anyone who says there is no such thing as too much cowbell has probably never seen a Mississippi State game.
Maybe they're huge CW fans

How does having a later bowl game (calendar wise) compare to an earlier game as far as amount of practices and such go?

Watching ESPN coverage now. I haven’t heard anything about the Illini game. We would have given Mich a better game than Pur last night. Playing Miss State. The first game of the Jan2nd day.

I'm a lifelong Illini fan living in SC. I attended the University of South Carolina. I root for the Gamecocks along with the Illini. I am breathing a sigh of relief right now!

Now I can support both of my teams fully.

I also think the Illini match up better with Mississippi State. GO ILLINI!
We have been somewhat friends with Spencer Rattler's family for about 10 years, so I was breathing a sigh of relief as well. Try to root for the kid because his family it's so great, but that wasn't going to happen in a matchup with the beloved. 😁

I think we have actual Tampa residents here, but I've been to Raymond James several times. There's a lot within a short drive/uber, but most everything is just out of walking distance. The closest hotels are a 20-25 minute walk.
I live in Naples, but go to Tampa twice a month for work. There is tons around RJ. Parking is easy very close to the stadium. You could stay anywhere near the airport or preferably off of the cross town. Both adult things and family things very close :)

Moved to Columbia in early 2021 (was trapped in our LA house for 9 months and working remote anyway). LOVE LOVE LOVE it here and Spencer has been a joy to watch mature and those last two games will be talked about forever in this town.

So happy I get to enjoy SC on Friday and ILL on Monday…. Will be a fun new years weekend in Columbia

Edit: Living in a college town again is just the best, I so loved Champaign I stayed 6 years and even worked for McKinley for a year

Well, bummed out that one minute after buying two tickets on the east side, Ticketmaster texts that Illini fans are on the west. Thanks for that!🙄. Anybody else in Section 138?

I would have preferred Citrus vs. LSU, but I love facing a strong SEC opponent either way and happy we avoided Music City. The Citrus is considered a step up from ReliaQuest, correct?
