Maybe by Friday I'll have more optimism but it's Monday and I'm not. We (I always say we as if I'm a player or something) are a one in a hundred miracle catch from Casey Washington from being 1-4. We barely beat a MAC team at home, barely beat FAU at home. We haven't been competitive in a game against P5 competition. So my hope for a victory is tempered by all of that. I'll watch and root on the Illini but we have to play much better than we have so far.

Agreed, but one does get used to the double-barrel nut punch after awhile.
You'd think so, you really would, but then they inventively figure out some brand new macabre way of making it hurt. It's honestly impressive. Makes me think they may be reincarnated torturers from the Spanish Inquisition. If not, they truly missed their calling.

I've been to a couple of Illini basketball games, never have been to Memorial Stadium to watch an Illinois football game. That changes Friday when I'll be attending my first Illinois football game at Memorial Stadium.
Hoping you are good luck. Only game I ever went to in Memorial Stadium we lost to Rutgers under Lovie when JG Jr was QB.

Why not have both?

Lol...just one garden flag post by my front sidewalk. It's a rotation based on season and my feelings. :ROFLMAO: Illini, Stars, Rangers.

The Meowboys get no love because F Jerryjone....and I don't really like the Mavs garden flag. 🤷‍♂️

Add a PA off that with a H flat, X fly, z deep cross, and a delayed TE seem would be a solid staple.
I still believe an offense composed of bottle caps, sticks ,

fingers tracing lines in the dirt for routes and don't forget a button hook to a receiver at the bus stop sign. May work just as well for this Illini play book!

So reading between the lines I sense not too many expect a turnaround on Friday.

Anyone remember the old SNL sketch about the therapeutic properties of "Lowered expectations "?

Not a very high confidence level in my pick this week, but since I initially thought the Huskers would be favored in the game, I guess I should at least take them to cover, and probably to also win. RATIONALE: We've shown no week-to-week improvement. Our best drive is always our opening drive of the game; we then struggle to score. Lack of discipline expected to continue, so we'll again have more penalty yards. OL showing no signs of improvement. Please prove me wrong this week!
