Three team race at this point. No way tOSU makes it through 6 games without a loss, IMO, and no way one of Purdue, Illinois, and Wisconsin doesn't finish with 5 (or 4) losses.

Agreed. And looking ahead...We play after Wisconsin on the final day so we will know exactly what is on the line against Iowa. Sets up for an incredible atmosphere at SFC if Purdue and Wisconsin can both pick up a loss while we stay at 4.

But lets start with beating OSU first. IMO they are in the same mold as Wisconsin, MSU, and Iowa. Talented team, but ultimately too soft to beat this Illini team.

And either Purdue or Wisconsin is guaranteed one more loss.

We need to root for Rutgers to beat Wisconsin in NJ and for Wisconsin to beat Purdue in Madison. And of course, we need to win out.

110% agreed. I'll be at the Iowa game with my fiancée, first time bringing her to a game, so it's hard not to imagine the atmosphere... but the team's gotta take care of business first!

Some recriuting misses were nearly landing Maggette. Also no Q Richardson, who seemed to have an issue with Illinois. Missing on all three Proviso East players(Finley, Boyce, Ford), typically the flagship school gets at least one from a high school. Landing Rashard Griffin to play with Deon would of helped our undersized front court against Michigan and others.

Also thought we would land EJ Liddell, I think we are a final four type team x 2 years with him, Ayo and Kofi.
Everytime I see Q Richardson, I think of Quinn Richardson....one of my favorite players on 83-84 team.

Agree on your take,...some of these misses could have changed history for Illini, including Liddell.

I think there’s a decent chance that either Purdue or Wisconsin wins out. We need to win out too IMO.

5 losses = No outright Big Ten title, MAYBE a shared title

The only thing which may prevent us from winning out is one of our inexplicable shooting slumps.

Yeah, Purdue’s toughest remaining test is @Wisconsin, but if Wisconsin has a player or two out because of the fight, I could see Purdue winning that game and they’d have a really good chance to win out.

I don’t see Wisconsin winning out. I don’t see them winning both vsPurdue and @Rutgers down the stretch.

Won’t happen-bench is deeper -too many great shooters
plus we have GRANDison
At some point, I do want to hear the crowd singing a line or two from Robert's "The Grandiman." In garbage time would be nice.

It amazes me that after 3 years, national media, and tv networks still mispronounce Kofi's last name. FS1 keeps pronouncing it incorrectly in the preview for Thursday’s game again tOSU.

Bummer about Verdonk. Been good to see him getting chances and contributing more this season. Has to be a big boost of confidence for him.

And great to see Hawkins getting more praise. A lot of potential but gets in his own head too much. Really believe he has a great shot at being a huge piece of our future. Just hope he sees the same thing and stays around long enough for us to see it!
