As inconsistent as the offense is, this season is tanked with BAD defense. If we has last year's D we would likely be 3-2 and looking up, at worst looking toward 7-5 with the games remaining. This is back to the Zook/Lovey days of giving up 30+ per game against D1.

After the way last year ended and the amount of talent we lost, I did not expect much this season. I did expect a certain amount of competence. We don't even have that.
