Which is more likely?
A) We play like we did in the second half for the next eight halves?
or,
B) The moon falls out of the sky?

Well the what if’s, the woulda, coulda, should’ve are all behind us.
There is no reasonable expectation that we win out in either tourney, so let’s just accept who we are and have some fun.
They better play with this attitude cause it is win or go home time.

Yeah, the season has gone as far as it can go now. Talking won't do the trick. Have to show up and play 40 from here on out.

This is where my mind is at too. After that epic comeback against NW, I thought that we turned the corner, then OSU happened. After the MI win I thought we turned the corner, then the first half vs Purdue happened.
Would be nice to have a decent first half. No excuse to start so slow and turn it over so easily. That said, there was a chance to win.
The execution out of the time out near the end was inexcusable. It was a perfect opportunity, given just under a minute of play, to go 2 for 1 with a quick drive. Even if they didn't score, they would get the ball back with time on the clock. Hawkins wasted precious seconds dribbling. Where is the urgency?
Lastly, you know the refs in the Big Ten will swallow their whistles at the end unless something is really blatant. I don't know how you try and adjust for this but taking it to the hole might not be the best strategy. The pull up jumper for 2 seems to be a mostly lost art with this team.

I get that we got off to a godawful start (again), but when you're playing the #5 team in the country, for the first time all year, on their home court on Senior Day, with essentially no traditional PG... Well, having a chance to win in the final minute after getting steamrolled for a half isn't a W, but I think it was one helluva character builder.
He's taking one for the team to take the pressure off his guys. 31 games in, we're going to pin it on the coach? I think more of TS and MM than to let them off the hook that easily. Too good of players to continually allow this to happen. TSJ was atrocious in the first half. I'm sure they appreciate BU standing up there and wearing it.
Also, goal tends should just get reviewed automatically. Take 30 seconds for video review and if it ain't clear, call on the floor stands.
What is he supposed to say at this point? Get on the players who have showed some pretty thin skin at times this year in front of the national media right before the BTT and Dance? Honestly not much of anything Brad can say at this point other than try deflecting attention and hope his team shows up from the opening whistle.
By the way, as an athlete if you consistently can't be ready to play at tip-off time, that's on you, not the coach. Coaches aren't allowed to strangle players off anymore, so not all that much coaches can do about that anymore. Bob Knight always had his players ready to go for a reason, and it wasn't orangle slices, juice boxes, and positive affirmations...
The 5 TOs by TSJ crushed us yes, however. Coach, who I love and hope is here for a long time, puts the line ups on the floor. Leaving CH on the bench while eddy was on the bench in the first half was a very bad coaching decision. Can’t say he stays with the 2 fouls and bench for the half because he left Meyer out there one game, ( can’t remember which)
DD also starting the 2nd half and not Ty was another coaching mistake.
He made great adjustments in the 2nd half with the press, doubling eddy with the weak side blitz and putting the right line up on the court eventually, and then we were off and running and almost stole a game that I personally thought we would lose anyway but be less then the spread (+7). Score was were I thought it would be.
Last 15 mins of the game need is how the rest of our season needs to be played and coached. I still think, it this crazy season in all of NCAA. We can mess around and have a chance at the elite 8 or further. But if OSU Illini show up, and not second half NW/PU etc then we are in trouble.
