I think you all owe me a bit of gratitude. My absolute clown talk of TON early this season really jump started him. 🤣🤣

That was a cool time when Yadi gave Lester the game ball..........
Depends on how much he asks for, but the Cardinals should try and resign Lester. Who would have thought that after his first game with them. He would have 3-4 more wins if the bullpen had held on.

I was told by my dad @ age 5 that the only thing in life I should hate is the chicago cubs.
I have followed my dad's advice to the letter
But I agree about Lester
He has been great since that first game debacle.
He seems to like the cards and I doubt he would cost above the cards thoughts relating to salary

MILWAUKEE — Having already outwitted the division-leading Brewers to help keep the Cardinals' present winning streak rolling and seizing some significant personal history, Jon Lester faced the final challenge of his evening.
He had to fold his burly 6-foot-4 frame into a basket on wheels.
Milestones as big and round as the 200th win of his career come with clubhouse celebrations, and those rites of suds sometimes mean wedging into a laundry cart for a wet whirl surrounded by teammates.
“Wasn’t so much getting in it as it was getting out that was the problem,” Lester said. “And then you really don’t realize how cold that beer is until it gets poured on your head. I don’t have a lot of stuff to go through up top.”

With six innings from their big, bald lefty and a 5-2 victory Monday night against Milwaukee, the Cardinals have their longest stretch of victories since 2004. They maintained their three-game lead for the National League’s second (and final) wild-card playoff slot.......

-----------------------------------

Last night was the first time I've witnessed Luis Garcia pitch for the Cardinals.....He was nasty......high velocity and a wicked slider.......

Go Cardinals

My dad didn't have to tell me to hate the Cubs. ;)

Yep, Lester was a great add.

What happened to the "" Respect your elders ""..........back in circa 1956 there was a lot less hate in the world....My dad got a lot of grief from my mom.....Not that he told me to hate the Cubs , just to hate anything......My dad and I just smiled at each other after mom left the room..........

So, respect my au-thor-i-tah........................

I wouldn't be opposed to Lester being back but there may not be enough room on the starting staff for him. Flaherty and Wainwright will be back. Hudson will be back after TJ. That's 3 spots right there. Mikolas and Kim are still signed too. Plus you may have guys like Liberatore and Zack Thompson that may get major league looks. And who knows maybe even Oviedo gets a look during spring training.

Pretty sure Kim was signed for only 2 years.

I’ve seen enough of those walk-off wins by the Brewers against us.

Even though it's not scored as a quality start due to only 5 innings, Woodford was quality in my mind all the way.....
TON with 2 good catches in LF
Tommy Edman was star of the game..............deservedly so
My heart is still racing some....probably time for a 420 and a nice cool mixed beverage.......

Goooooo Cardinals !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was watching GameDay with full count on Cain and I just felt like it was better to turn score off and just come look at it later. Way less stressful that way.

The umpire missed the call at first. He called him out and was definitely safe. Got overturned. At least Gallegos didn’t throw the ball into centerfield.

I thought if anyone other than Vogelbach was on first base he would have scored on Wong's double. Vogelbach was plodding along like a Clydesdale hitched to a beer wagon. (Not a team of horses, just one pulling the wagon alone.) If Wong didn't have to slow down because of Vogelbach he may have tried for 3rd. It's all conjecture but if he did make it to 3rd he would have scored the Brewers second run on Adames SF. I was surprised when Counsell didn't put a pitcher in for him as a pinch runner.
