Wish we could have seen more of this Cardinals performance of late all season long , but , alas we didn't, so another season with no post season.....

I wonder if Goldschmidt's late season turnaround will change the FO's mind and resign him.........For me , it would have to be at least no more than $ 10 million annually........use the other $ 16 million left over from his contract this year for pursuing a SP ...
I also hope they resign Kittredge.......he was invaluable with his number of holds allowing Helsley the opportunity for his record setting save season......

Jordan Walker will never reach his full potential as a hitter with his quirky batting stance....................JMHO , but he should emulate the stance of Aaron Judge and be prepared for the numerous outside breaking pitches he will receive......he has way too many body parts moving with his open stance and just as I type this he takes a called 3rd strike on a belt high outside corner sinker......
I know every batter has their own comfortability with their individual stance but his tiptoe setup on his left foot just begs being off balance on any pitch with movement.........................

Being young and mediocre is okay, young players will get better. Being old and mediocre is just stupid. If Goldy had a good yr the conversation might have been different but in light of 2024 it makes no sense to bring him back.New report stating no Goldie next year.
