Thing is, our primary colors are orange and blue. Personally, I like green and I'm sure we could come up with some nice green helmets, but then why have school colors in the first place if you aren't going to wear them?
Not the same thing at all and you know it. White is already incorporated in to our colors as it is with every school.

Could you just try to be happy with something with this rebrand? anything really. It can't possibly make you happy nit picking everything like this
From what I've heard from a pretty good source is the team has yet to see anything blue, helmet pants or jersey, but there still is hope

Actually I really like the orange helmets as I have said many times. To bad we don't intend to wear them. I also like the all whites as a special occasion uniform and think they would look particularly good at night. But I don't like white as a major color because it is not a major color for Illinois as it is for Penn State or Wisconsin.

I am still interested in to see how good the orange helmets look. Dont care about the blue ones. But the orange ones would need to look some kind of fantastic to sway me from the white helmets.

Yes, as many have pointed out, this isn't the best time to go with the all whites.
But it has been worse. Back in 2002 (I think) we played in our home orange basketball unis against Wisconsin in their road reds. On TV you couldn't tell the teams apart. I believe the Big Ten implemented a new rule after that game.
Yes although from what I've heard those at the the game had no trouble differentiating the two.

the # font is bad.. to skinny on the uniforms.. bad. the white on white on white looked overall very good however..jmho
Speaking of the # font, it has been discussed how the "9" looks like a "4". I was at the UW game last week and on a screen pass to Martez Barr, the UW stadium announcer said "pass caught by Reilly O'Toole"
Yeah, they look pretty similar to me!
