Keatts has been at the top of my list along with Miller. He just isn't as flashy of a hire to most around here, but I think he would do great here.

Will make his stock explode with who? Our competition, by which I mean JW's competition, is other P5 ADs. Keatts has been on their radar for a while. All a win does is increase how much he can command in his next job, which is a game we're well-positioned to play.
It is not that ADs are smarter or dumber, it is reality. Tournament success improves Keatts stock, and current openings (IU, NC State) do not help.
A difference? Yes. A big difference? No.

One took Butler to two title games and is in the middle of a six year/$22MM contract with the NBA's most storied franchises and the other is at Virginia. I'd say that's a pretty huge difference.

Cuonzo and the Porters together was never an option for Whitman, IMO.
