The prize is ND I would thinkI'm guessing the B1G would take Oregon, Washington, iffy on Colorado and then walk away?

What can I say, I’m a sucker for an underdog. You realize that Illinois would have been a constant relegation candidate for most of the past 25-years?
from my perspective UWash is a fit .
but I’m a 60 year old UI alum sitting in the chicago suburbs - so what do I know ? this morning I woke up and the thought of USC & UCLA in our conference was the farthest thing from my mind
Doubtful. Washington and Oregon would come together. Wazzu and Oregon St. would be in a tough situation. If you bring Washington in, you have to bring Wazzu along with them. You think it's bad going to places like Lincoln, NE in the middle of winter? Try Pullman.

Why would Mizzou leave the SEC? It's a lateral move. And the SEC doesn't care about academics. Some of my initial thoughts on this (my apologies in advance if any of these have been mentioned already)...
B1G has got A LOT of TV money rolling in, especially since I think their new TV deal starts this year. With adding USC and UCLA, you would now have BTN in the three biggest TV markets in the country.
The next biggest TV market out west that would have schools interested in leaving is probably Phoenix. I wonder if Arizona and Arizona State ask if they can come along with USC and UCLA to the B1G.
With all due respect to the folks at Wazzu and Oregon State, places like Pullman and Corvallis aren't really bringing in much. Eugene probably doesn't either if Nike isn't right there.
Does the Pac-12 bring in someone like Gonzaga as a basketball-only school? Do they try and poach the Mountain West?
Does Mizzou see what's happening and consider leaving the SEC for the B1G?
Why? I've seen that elsewhere too, and I just don't get it. Because of the rivalry? Apple Cup as a permanent non-conference game makes sense to me.If you bring Washington in, you have to bring Wazzu along with them. This. The prize is ND I would think
I'm pretty sure the B1G will take ND anytime ND wants to join.
Any traction about UW joining other than speculation here? Selfish motivation, same as other Loyalty posters in their local regions, but they'd be a nice fit for both academics and athletics
The prize is ND I would think
To be fair, that chance has been pretty low for a long time as it is. I'm as hopeful as any one that BB can turn it around, but it's always been a long shotFrom a purely selfish viewpoint . . .
There is only one Big Ten champion each year. The more schools in the conference, the lower the chance that it will be us.
Can you post a link to the board? I can’t find it.The Huskie board is going ballistic right now...

we just took UCLA without Cal - and everyone always said they were joined at the hip

Nope. No chance.
