Didn't expect that win!!!

Very surprising. I wish I hadn't turned it off. The Twins series really rubbed me the wrong way and I'm in a bad mood.

A good start from Rodon could turn me though. The next best thing to being a contender is a promising young starting pitcher to watch every few days. I hope he forces them to leave him in the rotation.

A couple of quality starts would probably do it. So either Noesi or Danks gets bumped...I say Danks, the albatross. JMO, but he won't be of any use coming out of the pen, very difficult to trade, and sending him down to AAA would be pointless as the dude just isn't gonna get better. Would be kind of ironic though, him and Jordan toiling away in the minors together...

Like the 2 wins against the Tigers. Listening to 670 to start the day and hear Coop sounding like a jag. Killed the good feelings I had for the team today.

Well, I listened to the Coop interview...

Honestly, I had no problem with his...abrasiveness. A good bit of that "attitude" is the frustration of not winning, dealing with the way the team has been playing up 'til a couple days ago, dealing with an ever more demanding media and fan base, given what our "expected" performance was and what it's been...and ya get defensive, and at times, a bit surly.

Like he said, hey, we just won a couple games in a row (against the division leader no less), let us enjoy them!! I know I am!

This, of course, is JMHO...

Edit: It's kinda like when I had a bad outing in HS, and some one would tell me, "Jeez Bob, kinda looked like crap out there today..." Really? REALLY??? And I need YOU to tell me that???

Excited aboutRodon today. It'll be my first chance to really see him pitch and it'll be nice to see extended action from him. Hope he shows up.

Micah is brutal at 2nd. No pop and not much of a base stealer. Sanchez, meanwhile, is on fire in Charlotte. I'm ready for a change.

He hasn't impressed me, Bailey. Lots of hype coming in that hasn't been lived up to...

Congrats to Alexi on his 100th career dinger!!!:thumb::thumb:

I know Rodon has been hyped a lot, but he looks like the real deal to me. He's got the confidence, poise, arm.....you name it. He needs to work on his control, like most young pitchers. He will be in the rotation soon.

He's as can't miss a pitching prospect as I can remember. Had no idea his fastball sat between 95-98. I think they'll take their time bringing him into a starters role, but Danks and Noesi aren't in the same stratosphere.

Well obviously Danks looked pretty sharp today. Another one of those, "Gee, maybe I oughta call him out more often" games...

Noesi available out of the bullpen tonight. The writing is on the wall (literally & figuratively).

That game last night pissed me off!! Shark has a lousy outing, but the Sox clawed and scratched their way back to tie it at 7 in the 8th, and then BAM!!! Gone in a heartbeat, 10-7 Brewers with 2 swings of the bat...

It's official. Rodon starts Friday. If this season is a bust, at least we'll have this.

Sale looked great tonight (except for that 1st inning), Robertson excellent in the 9th. A VERY good win tonight!:thumb::thumb:

Minus the unforgivably bad defense. I like Micah, his speed gets him extra bases, but he needs a season of fielding 200 grounders per day.

He's got two extra base hits.

And as you mentioned, is an absolute butcher at 2nd. I've seen all I need to with Micah.
