I've seen young phenoms before and think, they look to have the skills but they are going to physically mature drastically (grow, increase weight/muscle) in the next 3-4 years. With Adam Miller, he is pretty darn close already at 6'1. If he continues to grow with PG skills he can be an NBA prospect.

Next couple of years there seems to be PGs that Illinois can target (Ayo, Walker, Miller).

I'm assuming that there hasn't been any CB updates on Wilkes since no one has said anything correct????

Adam Miller looks seems like he is going to be a big PG. Appears to be working hard at his sport, like those drills.

Groce likes his lefty PG's

Brunson, Cooper, Frazier Miller. Am I forgetting anyone?

Nunn. Not a PG but SG.

Not sure if it is by design though, just that some of the players who we had/have good chances with, happened to be lefties.

Saw this kid play as an 8th grader, he looked like a high school junior. Kid has a great feel for the game,he is definitely the next big Peoria prospect. I think he will be better than DaMonte when it's all said and done

Cant state it enough how much I love lefty PGs. I want this kid more than anything, and I think Da'monte will help with recruiting. So smooth, some may say he needs to work on a right hand, but when you are that smooth, I dont think its necessarily that big of a deal. He can create, and creating is half the battle. Would fit perfectly into Groce's system. I think his recruitment will go on a while so dont expect an early commit. Kid is too good to bite at the first nibble.

For a 14 yo, he's pretty good. lol

Plus, his shorts: kid has flair (or just don't care).

Can certainly see what the hype is about.

+1

I look at that vid and have a hard time believing he's 14 unless I look at those skinny arms. His talent level is astounding. Makes me wonder what Chris Paul looked like at 14. Seriously.

Fantastic handles, and an amazing release. Skill level looks elite and he's only 14. He'll be a prized recruit.

By the time he's a senior, he could be approaching Shaun Livingston territory. Talent wise, obviously not size.

Players mature physically and mentally at different ages, especially in middle school and high school. I had no seen Paul at 14, but did see Richard McBride and he looked a man among boys. Injuries aside, it was evident as he continued in HS that other player caught up with him. Still a very good recruit at the time.

Depends. I assume his growth plates are still open. :D

I remember seeing his dad play for Manual in the late 90s (same name). He is under 6 feet tall.

Adam Miller is around 6'3 right now so I'm not sure how much he will grow. He will stick at PG so I'm not sure it really matters if he grows or not.

If he does grow a few inches he very well could end up being one of the top 5 players in the nation, like Livingston was. I'm not sure if we want that or not from a recruiting standpoint.

Just back from WS, but heard Groce was at NCHS yesterday also.

Whenever I hear about last minute-ish visits to a recruit right before they announce, I tend to think that's generally a tactic for those coaches who know they're not running first.

With Brunson, I seem to recall that Jay Wright ended up visiting a 2016 recruit instead of checking in on Jalen right before he committed. Also, I think some of us tried to make a big deal of Self snubbing Cliff on his visit to Chicago (dropping in on Okafor instead.)

My guess is that UCLA has him wrapped up. Now, watch Alford show up at Wilkes's school and hopefully remove this tea leave.

I think the answer is probably "No, we don't want that." It's much easier* to beat other B1G teams for recruits than it is to beat blue bloods.

Agreed. I am looking forward to a Lucas/Frazier/Williams battle at the point next year. We will be young but pretty talented.

+2 I've been wanting to state tgis, but you guys beat me to it. Lucas grew that two inches, but now his name is Trent Frazier. DaMonte has the physical tools to dominate at that position. We'll find our guy with 1 of the three. Hopefully, we end up getting a London Perrantes career from that player. What I mean by that is a pg rated in the second half of the top 150 who dominates!
