If we miss out on our top remaining targets and this kid falls into our laps, with the proper coaching, this could be one of the biggest steals in a long time!:shield:

This kid has all the potential in the world!!
+hunnertmillion. I'd take 'Zo every day, all day. Kid could be a monster (and I mean that in a nice way.)

The kid has talent, no doubt about that, but he seems to duplicate a lot of what Frazier brings as a small, scoring-first PG. It seems odd saying "no thanks" to a skilled PG after all these years but with TJL, DMW, and TF in the fold, I'd rather shoot for Ayo in 2018.

Getting them together has got to be a good thing, right? I'm hoping that Miller can be a long term commit kind of player. Anyone in the know think there's a chance of getting him to commit as a freshman or sophomore?

Getting them down in Champaign together is definitely a good thing! I have no clue just how interested he is/when hell pop but he's got potential through the roof. If he sprouts up anymore he's an absolute dynamite point guard prospect :)

DMW is already a physical specimen. Fletch will help mold him into a hoops superhero.

All for cultivating a strong relationship with Miller.

Having him come in with DMW is a bonus too. Getting another kid closer to his age in his ear about staying home and playing for Illinois can only help. There is enough time between them that it isn't like they would be directly competing much.

Hope DMW continues to develop as a PG, his size and strength at that position would be problematic in a high pick and drive offense.

Adam Miller is going to be an absolute stud. It's going to be a hot race to get him as the next few years pass, so it's great to see the staff putting a lot of focus and priority on him.

Sure. Much clearer path to early playing time if he's able to morph into a PG. Getting ahead of myself, I know, but his size/strength/physicalness will make him an NBA prospect, assuming he excels at PG for us.

Agreed. I am looking forward to a Lucas/Frazier/Williams battle at the point next year. We will be young but pretty talented.

How do you guys see Jacob Epperson's recruitment playing out? It seems like he will take his time since he just got to La Lumiere.

Totally foggy at this point. He's pretty much said he hasn't had time to really consider what he wants yet. Obviously, that's what he's spending his time doing now and will be over the winter.

Hard to fault him for that.

Agreed, totally get why he would do that, probably wise on his part.

+1

Destined to be a spring signee. Stating the obvious, he'll have myriad choices.

He pretty much said that he will take his time and decide in the Spring.

Looks like Logan Windeler, the kid that exploded out of nowhere for MIF in a couple games this summer, might be transferring down to Victory Rock Prep in Florida. That just happens to be the same prep school that Mayan Kiir is at...

I'll say one thing, it sure seems like Groce has gotten the current players and maybe even more importantly the incoming players to take pride and ownership in the future of the program. It's seems like everyone is all in beyond just their time in CU.

This is a lot more refreshing than hearing incoming recruits say "I'll talk to him but ultimately they've got to do what's best for their family" as if choosing any of these schools over the others is going to drastically ruin their lives.

A lot of Teams looking at him, if he looks to be a Good player he could be a National recruit with many of the Top teams recruiting him hard. If that happens he could be a long shot for Illinois IMO.
