Monte shaved.
And then sit out the second half so Hamlin &Lieb can get some tick.
FIFYLOL. Here we go again. This game will go down to the wire. I would bet my beach house there will be no clearing the bench in this one. Have we not learned how this LEAGUE is?
I think BU is doing a great job of substituting throughout the game. Frazier and Ayo are playing ~34 minutes/game.
Players see the court when they don't mess up on defense. Watch the beginning of the Nebraska game where Grandison got ABUSED the first three possessions and was on the bench before the first TV timeout. Play sound defense and you'll see the court. That's why our closing lineup includes DMFW. He is as sound as they come.Grandison makes a couple shots, then gets whisked out of the bench. Hawkins scores from outside and gets a rebound, then Zoom! Banished to the sidelines. Same thing happened in football. Mike Epstein rips off a couple good runs, then they take him out. We punt.
In Improv, it is known as "Yes and..." If one thing is true, how do you heighten it for the next thing. If their center is gimpy, then Kofi will score 25 and 15. Yes, and he will do it all in the first half. Yes, and Hamlin and Lieb will man the five in the second half. I considered adding Yes and Edgar Padilla will get a dozen assists.
Kofi had 33 and 13 in the first game when Robbins was healthy. Of course he fouled out in 16 minutes.Bigger news is that Robbins is well less than 100%. Kofi should have 25 and 15
This. The first 7 points that Nebraska scored were due to errors by Grandison.Players see the court when they don't mess up on defense. Just assuming we will be up comfortably enough to get in the end of the bench guys... didn’t I already rant about this before the NU game? And then sit out the second half so Hamlin &Lieb can get some tick.
I meant to add that I also expected Padilla to get ten assists in that same second halfJust assuming we will be up comfortably enough to get in the end of the bench guys... didn’t I already rant about this before the NU game?
Grandison: you could be referring to the game where his man scored the first 9 points of the game. I think it was NEB.Grandison makes a couple shots, then gets whisked out of the bench. Hawkins scores from outside and gets a rebound, then Zoom! Banished to the sidelines. Same thing happened in football. Mike Epstein rips off a couple good runs, then they take him out. We punt.
You did sir. Pre nebby as well.Just assuming we will be up comfortably enough to get in the end of the bench guys... didn’t I already rant about this before the NU game?

I for one would prefer to never be down. IMO the one thing it’s missing is a dagger in the national title game. That highlight reel of Ayo hitting late clutch shots is missing one thing. A game winner when we're down. While a comfy win would be fun, I'd love to see one point down with a walk off buzzer beating drive to win.
I'd be fine if we didn't need him too bail us out anymore, he's shown he can do it.That highlight reel of Ayo hitting late clutch shots is missing one thing. A game winner when we're down. While a comfy win would be fun, I'd love to see one point down with a walk off buzzer beating drive to win.
Money line for Minnesota is +190, put some money just to cash in on the Barn Spook Factor?Vegas consensus says Illini -5.5
Yeah, it would be tough for Iowa.I'm not quite ready to yet make a prediction. But here's how the pessimistic side of me is viewing things:
- Consecutive tight games against lowly NEB and NW (home)
- Playing 5 of the final six on the road (Mich, OSU, MSU, Wisc, Minn)
- Michigan and OSU are #1 and #2 in the league
- Greg Gard is something like 80-18 at home in his Wisconsin coaching career
- Minn has lost only once at home all season
For the average team, that's pretty daunting
