Still surprised at Jaden Ivy being called a lottery pick. Like him very much and thought he was Ayo jr last year but don’t see his superiority to Ayo. Guess I’ll give up my NBA scouting ambitions. I couldn’t see the high ranking of Wagner either and he has been great in the NBA.

Ivy has impressive burst and pretty solid long range, but seems to get out of control sometimes and make poor decisions. Still a high upside though.

Another very positive trait for Ayo. Fitting in with veterans without creating a lot of discord when he gets attention. After all he is only an off the bench player but with his Illinois and Chicago connection, there is more hype than would be normal. He seems to be handling it very well.

Ayo leading the team in scoring with a little under 3 to go until the half

Of all the commendable qualities Ayo enjoys as a person and elite athlete, what has always stood out to me is his confidence.

I cannot think of any moment in his time as an Illini or a Bull where he didn't show he was as big as the game situation.
That's real confidence and it makes him a special competitor.
