was being sarcastic and agree with everything you saidI truly chuckle every time I see a comment about top 25. The Illini, with their AA playing a very poor game, took the best team in the country to double overtime....and spotted them an 11 pt. deficit in the last 20 min. It makes little sense to remove them from the top 25, but it may happen. I could care less!!!!!! They proved to have the weapons, skills, and HEART to compete with the very best. And they will. There are more important games coming and their play is getting better. Enjoy this team and support them to the end....they are playing their guts out.
Not just Kofi, but Kofi with Curbelo feeding him nice passes down low. Don't remember them on the floor together much and most of us remember how lethal that was last year.Imagine what happens if Kofi is still in it and playing with fluidity. We might have lost still, but it feels like we would have had a better chance of pulling it out in the second OT
I hated the 3rd foul call on Kofi, which was not called on others, including Verdonk.Right, so no Kofi for 10+ minutes, and the foul disparity is a small impact. Gotcha.
That was a terrible call. The third foul on Kofi was ridiculous. I believe he was on the floor with a Purdue guy and the Purdue dribbler just tripped over his back.
If you have this game on DVR, I dare you to go back and slo-mo all of the questionable calls, and then tell me how it was. Very, very few games are decided by the refs, but this one was. OT is irrelevant, because the refs are the only reason it went to OT. Worst performance by the refs I've seen this year, JMHO.
And he did it two feet from Painter. I think the zebra missed it until Painter went ape so they went to the monitor.Yeah that Omar mental mistake can't be understated. Gotta keep you're composure especially when you have the momentum
I disagreeThat’s a 40/60 call though y’know? It’s not a phantom, it’s just a soft call.
Verdonk was fouling on every scramble drill. A lot of stuff happens in a game.
yeah, was hoping to see some of that 2nd half but obviously didnt happen. better days ahead methinksNot just Kofi, but Kofi with Curbelo feeding him nice passes down low. Don't remember them on the floor together much and most of us remember how lethal that was last year.
Plus Plummer was fouled bad on a three and no call. I dont complain much about refs but that non call waa huge. I think we were up 1 and Plummer was fouled and no call. That was an auto 3 pts that cost us.I thought the call on Trent v stephonovic 3 was a bad call that changed the game. We were down one at that point.
Anyone who questioned this previously either just started watching us for the first time this year or else was out of their mind. His decision making was great. Many oh wow moments only a few… no.no.no moments
Better with AC
He was “gently caressed” as I said at the time.I disagree
If you watch the replay Sasha s
Came down and tripped on his own feet. Was not touched by Trent
Foul disparity is a thing, but Kofi had basically all legit fouls. He just played a little out of control today.Right, so no Kofi for 10+ minutes, and the foul disparity is a small impact. Gotcha.
Edey doesn’t need to foul and he knows itKofi- 5 fouls
Edey AND Williams combined - 4 fouls
Illinois combined bigs - 10 fouls
Edey AND Williams combined -4 fouls.
Illinois fans annoying ref complaining aside, I laugh in anyone's face that thinks this was not the biggest factor in the game.
I also personally guarantee you Bo and DJBaldy swallowed their whistles in the second half with BBV.
The no calls were even worse than the bad calls.
We're not falling out unless we lose to Maryland and I'm still not sure we would. That would depend on the other teams in the top 25.but we'll probably fall out of the top 25...
I thought the call on Trent v stephonovic 3 was a bad call that changed the game. We were down one at that point.
Looking forward to Belo/Kofi for extended minutes. His decision making was great. Many oh wow moments only a few… no.no.no moments
