(1) Chase coming back would be great for the program. Not on an Ayo level because that isn't possible for football but it brings in a star at a position with some uncertainty.
(2) I would bet dollars to donuts that Chase coming back will not help his draft status. Being a Doak Walker finalist right now leaves zero room for improvement. Chase would need to pile up a 2k rushing season or a 60-catch season to possibly raise his profile. The risk of injuries, loss of performance, reduction of QB performance, etc. puts a lot more factors that can go wrong than the perfect sequence needed for him to improve his standing.
(3) NIL money eases that burden. If he can get high 6- or low 7-figure NIL check, he is essentially living that first year of professional life while still being in college.
