Well, technically not only is Dayton not a P5 school/team, they're not a G5 either. The A10 is an "other" conference.
Ah, I thought they were big east. Bizarre ”accomplishment” at any level nonetheless.

That doesn’t seem possible, unless they lost all their talent and new coach is a total disaster. What P5 school starts 0-10.
Dayton has a completely different roster from last season due to a bunch of seniors graduating and number transferred to new schools(Cook and Shoup-Hill to Illinois alone). Looks like Dayton has rotated 8 players this season and only 4 of them have played in each game. Top 2 scorers for Dayton average 13ppg and 10 ppg. They both averaged around 10 minutes a game during the 2021-2022 season. Pretty sure 3 of the 8 players in the Dayton rotation this season were around the 10-12 position off the bench last season. One of the younger teams in the nation and complete roster roulette in one years time.

Illinois made a great hire and Green picked the right time to leave Dayton with the seniors that graduated

If this women's team continues at the same pace, will this be the biggest 1 year BB turnaround in either men's or women's basketball.???
I think it is likely that we will continue to see quick turnarounds now that we have the transfer portal accompanied by immediate eligibility. Looking at our squad we wouldn't have Cook, Hill, Bryant or Ndour available this year under the old rules. That's about 40 points and 17 rebounds per game, as well as, both of our point guards:

Congrats coach Green. That's awesome. I agree with posters above. The ladies have already proven they deserve respect. Let's get their schedule listed on here too. I'm going to be watching their Jan 1 game on BTN.

Love the effort. Love the excitement. Love the results thus far.

As I anticipated, however, no votes yet in this week's AP rankings. Still just a bit early. We need to beat a top 25 team I do believe.

Looks like Whitman may be busting out the checkbook this offseason to keep coach Green if she keeps this up! Way to go ladies! Keep it up! Anyone know how her salary compares to top level coaches?

According to the News Gazette she is 6th in B1G at $800,000 per year. Salaries range from $1.7m to $547,000.
Thank you for the search. She is doing a great job. If she takes this team to the middle of the pack of the B10 in her 1st season with this team she deserves a little bump in pay.

Win this next game (which they should) and they should have a chance to be ranked in the next poll. Anyone know when the new women's rankings come out? I just checked and the ladies are #27 in the most recent NET rankings.
