No, you were right the first time, zentrails. Smoke season would be correct, I think, for Pru…Pru approves of this season I think LOL
wait no, I read Sun instead of Smoke
This. Either we are getting fooled, or BU and the staff is getting fooled. I have no problem believing it’s not the former, as I believe in the integrity of our insiders. But man what does it say about the latter…What were all the booms for the other day? Lol
In a positive addition or negative miss way?Smokescreen season
Because not making the tournament is a failure for any big time program. End of storyI don’t understand why the ncaa tournament is the definition of success. Brad has won Big Ten tournaments and championships. The tournament is a one and done event. I mean did anyone pick Florida Atlantic and San Diego St. to do as well as they did?
So, is that a Twitter "insider"?Whew, I'm relieved now.
Definitely. With the location, tradition, and resources Illinois basketball has, it's NCAA tourney or failed season. No doubt.Because not making the tournament is a failure for any big time program. End of story
Let’s up the stakes to something really unique like fried ice cream!
It’s a Twitter account. So is trilly. No one really knows anything. So, is that a Twitter "insider"?
It would say a lot about the latter only if there is no strong backup plan. Fool me once...This. Either we are getting fooled, or BU and the staff is getting fooled. I have no problem believing it’s not the former, as I believe in the integrity of our insiders. But man what does it say about the latter…
Hot take: Some people know more than other peopleIt’s a Twitter account. So is trilly. No one really knows anything.
This is Dain’s 4th season so he’s technically a Senior this year, and a redshirt senior next year. He’s in the same class as Coleman. He could potentially file a hardship waiver for 2021 season at Baylor in which he only played 3 games, but who knows how that would turn out.I think of Dain as a sophomore because last year was his first full season. He only played in 3 games at Baylor so I assumed he could get a red shirt.
To clarify, I agree expectations should be to make the tournament every year. However, lack of deep runs in the tournament while extremely disappointing, should be given less weight than regular season performance IMO.Because not making the tournament is a failure for any big time program. End of story
Recruiting is entertainment for me.......A smile on my face and a lighthearted approach to life with a great appreciation for all positive things in my life is my mantra now..............I can't do anything to control what happens in recruiting so why get all bent out of shape when it doesn't pan out right for us.......Just get the next one..............So, As a 71 yo, 54 year Illini fanatic (on IL since the end of the Bruce Weber era), I read IL for the 5 hour drive upnorth to our WI cabin (for the first time since October), and I tried to stay calm and keep thinking that all of this recruiting drama is a minor in the big scheme of life (tribute to Pru). My conclusions: We Illini Loyalists must always remember: to be grateful to our insiders for providing the info they know ‘at the moment’ because “recruiting is fluid,” NIL and other factors are causing many, many changes to a system that we are just learning to understand, and no matter what happens, we need to be resilient to be able to stay Illini fans (as we always have). Other priorities can exist in the universe, but our constant is our love for our Illini (I don’t know why my husband didn’t use my Illini Tervis for my adult beverage). #IlliniForLife
The look of an un-boom?
Maybe he wants to be further away from home. Utah is very nice. Skiing. The LDS morality rules issue wouldn’t really matter at Utah; thats BYU’s thing. It’s a bit of a head scratcher IMO why Dennis wouldn’t choose Illinois. interested in hearing what he has to say when he does choose if not Illinois. Illinois has the NIL, all the minutes he can handle at point. Tournament team. Close to home. Outside looking in Illini have everything you think one would want.
The ego stroking is strong with this one.View attachment 25835
Yes, there had been, and there are.
Those are 2 entirely different discussions. Making the tournament is fairly binary in it's good vs bad dichotomy is what I'm sayingTo clarify, I agree expectations should be to make the tournament every year. However, lack of deep runs in the tournament while extremely disappointing, should be given less weight than regular season performance IMO.
Edit: Quoted before the edit. LOL
However, I would wager my man Pru approves of the smokescreen and the sunscreen.
