I know the numbers probably don't back this up, but I thought he hit a lot of three's and some big ones, too, when playing for the Illini.

Ty is better defensively and can handle the point better than Miller, which why I'd choose him for this year's team. I just wish he develop an inkling of an outside shot and finish better at the rim.
Laughably I remember it the opposite. Had he hit some open 3s that team would've done much better...but that could be my grumpy old man memory.

Maybe he pulls a TCL and comes back for his 6th year of eligibility

I think it would be bad? Across his career Miller has shot 30% on 9 3p attempts a game & has 25% usg with a (-) A/T ratio.

He's not a point guard and doesn't shoot well enough to be P5 SG. He was high effort on D, but would you rather have him or Rodgers out there?

Across his career he's shot 32.5% on 7 3p attempts a game which would have put him towards the top of last year's Illini. And I suspect a torn ACL didn't helped those numbers.

He and Rodgers wouldn't be an either/or scenario. I'm pretty indifferent on him since he left but I doubt (speculate) that a senior Miller had he never got hurt would have a negative impact on this year's team. A lot of hypotheticals of course.

I'm trusting Louisville and Indy here with regards to obtaining transfers. The lineup, as outlined above...it would be a humbling season.

Best to throw @illini0440 & @DB11Headband in the mix here as well … And there are others who contribute great info as well …

As for transfers out … I know of one guy who I’d say as of today is likely gone … I expect Dravyn, Moretti, Amani and Buck to all return …

Unless Jakstys comes in and absolutely tears up this summer … Expect a redshirt for him …

As for transfers … We’re already active … We’ve got as much or more NIL than anyone in the Big Ten … Expect 4 transfers in minimum … Potentially 5 …

Someone also mentioned Robbie Avila (Indiana State kid) as a possible transfer … He will likely be following Schertz to his next HC spot … Hearing that could be DePaul …

But I’ll give you guys 3 names to keep an eye on as a transfer target … Ryan Kalkbrenner … Matthew Murrell … Omaha Biliew …

For sure a lot of hypotheticals.

The reality is that he chose to leave two programs, so its hard to see him as a senior leader.

Love Kalkbrenner. Think he’d be phenomenal in this year’s team as a rim protector and roller. Based on the names you mentioned and how the season has gone I’d expect Dain to be the one with a foot out the door. Love Dain, but Kalkbrenner would be a HUGE upgrade at the 5.

The potential transfer wing market seems pretty bad. Unless Bryce Hopkins can graduate over the summer or Otega Oweh pulls a stunner, I think it may be hard to at least partially replace Shannon’s production

Ah ok, haha I thought he was referring to Kalkbrenner as "Omaha" being as he plays for Creighton, which is in Omaha, NE. Totally missed that there's a PF actually named Omaha.
