This is encouraging. I've been of the opinion that the only way TSJ would be reinstated by the university is if both charges are dropped. I've thought that to be highly unlikely to happen at least in the near term. This gives me hope that there is actually a chance. I'm going to still try not to get my hopes up just in case.

Not sure that is correct. The case number listed on the TSJ Complaint is DG-2023-CR-300181 (see attached).
Usually, CR is a court case abbreviation for Criminal. DM is a family law court case abbreviation for Divorce/Parenting and/or Child Support.
So my educated "guess" is that the case number that you have listed above is not the same case number as the Criminal Complaint filed against TSJ.
But I defer to others on this Board like mrh vet to confirm my guess.

They have technically already met….but they can meet again at anytime and can overturn the suspension at anytime.

I guess I just don't understand how they can reinstate him without some kind of public information about the situation becoming available that makes it clear they aren't sweeping it under the rug. Bringing him back with no other facts risks a major backlash nationally.

Agreed. Charges have to be dropped for him to be back and it not be PR nightmare for the university.

What I'm seeing from social media is that his peers are getting louder and louder that this whole situation is bogus. I'd say that backlash would(if at all) be going in both directions??

I'm on it as well. I have zero social media and zero connections to the team or university. For me to be able to break any news, it will have to come from my wife. Luckily, she knows everything and is right about everything all the time. I've learned this after 24 years of marriage

Do they though? Let's say something favorable to TSJ is agreed behind the scenes, but won't take effect for some time...
I could imagine being satisfied by our AD making a statement about due process, presumption of innocence, there are two lives involved here, TSJ deserves to live his normally until he has his day in court, we feel confident that something not as dire as the charge is in fact true, etc... so we're reinstating him today.
(I'm obviously not a law-talkin' guy!)
