I was really impressed with our defensive strategy in the tourney. Varied coverage and showed looks we hadn't done much of in the regular season. I said out loud "we're gonna win" about 5 min into the Houston game when I saw how aggressive we were on ball-screens.

We'll probably never find out, but I would love to know what happened with Petro. How does a guy go from an MVP candidate in a European professional league to unplayable in college, seemingly overnight?

He can really score, but can they get him to play D? We targeted and abused him in the tourney

I'm no insider, but when a kid has been connected to a school before he was even officially in the portal, it's not hard to see why it might be a good idea for both the school and the kid to play things a little slower. Maybe even go visit another school or two. Just saying, y'know, hypothetically.

It won't change anything. I mean, this is EXACTLY what is already happening. Right. Now. Look at Bowen. Adidas steered him to Louisville because it's one of their marquee schools. And that's WITH all these rules in place. Look, even if Adidas or Nike or UA wants a kid to go to one of "their"...

You don't even need to have the schools or NCAA pay players. Just need NCAA to make it legal for kids to have their own sponsorship deals.
