2017-18 Illini Golf

18 is the hole where we can hopefully get back 3 or 4 strokes.. Seeing a lot of Birdies and an Eagle or two there.

Agreed, but we have to get past 17 first. A tough hole, then a nice finish

News flash:. Gio heard you and birdied 18.

as of me typing: Florida +12, Northwestern +11, Stanford +10 and Kentucky +12 are on holes 1-4. That's who we have to hope falter to have a chance to get in the top 15. Arizona St is +12 on holes 13-16 and Texas is +13 on holes 16-18. We are currently +15

I think we're done now. I guess this isn't our year.

Sad to see Meyer and Hardy go out like this :(

We need to move up 6 lines and there 7 teams out there that can falter. Not likely, but possible to make to 15. Fingers crossed

I'm assuming that Iowa State and Northwestern fall below is, so it will probably come down to Stanford. They can shut us out or let us in, I think

also have to worry about teams coming up from down below...

Only three teams broke par today, and only Duke was significantly under. I don't think that is a huge concern.

I'd tip my hat to anyone that can get under par today.

They are going to make it. Gonna take about -6 tomorrow as a team to have a chance though.

UK has played the back nine and is now playing the front 9. I think they have the best chance to jump ahead of us. If we make the final 15 we really need to get rid of the double and triple bogeys if we want to make the top 8.

Wow - I had given up when we first went to 13 over for the day. Decided to instead take a nap rather than following any further.

Woke up and it seems like we now just might sneak into round 4. FL, ISU or NU needs to choke. Can someone tell me the tie-break rules?

For this round the tiebreaker is cumulative score on the non-scored rounds. For us, that is a +14 I believe (3, 4, 7 unscored).

Iowa State and Florida are at +8 and +13, with their third round score TBD still.
