Didn't one of the insiders say Boynton is safe at OSU?

Yes. Said source of that info is "not a tier 1 source" but usually reliable. Still fun at this time of year, before anything is confirmed, to play "what if". Ok State lost today by 15, on day one of the Big 12 conference tourney.

UCLA isn't firing Mick ...

And I have been told Bobby is likely to stay at ASU after all ... Could change but he just got a recent donation of NIL which would probably make ASU better than DePaul for him ...
Surprised about Hurley. I thought with one tourney in five years it might not be his choice.

AD rather than coach, but Trev Alberts leaving Nebraska for Texas A&M is pretty shocking.

That would be akin to something like Whitman leaving for Kentucky, perish the thought.
This is shocking. My wife went to Nebraska so they're my de facto #2 in the conference. This is potentially a massive blow to Nebraska.

Money talks? Texas schools have an abundance. Interesting they’d grab an AD from a dying football brand in a conference where football is all that counts, considering they’re trying to resurrect theirs.

That said, idk his history and maybe the hire makes perfect sense.

A&M should not be in the market for a new ball coach for awhile, tho

Alberts is like Mr. Nebraska, thus the analogy to Whitman. He also signed a contract extension mere months ago.

Something's gotta be rotten behind the scenes, it can't be a question of money or a "better" job.
He's named in a lawsuit, but I can't imagine that is the reason.

His boss, Ted Carter, left for Ohio State. That could have played a role. Funny enough, Carter hired Bjork from A&M to OSU, creating the opening that it looks like Alberts is going to leave Nebraska for.

The Athletic article about Payne’s successor does mention Underwood in a list sorted in ABC order. Mentions his salary and buyout as possible red flags for Louisville while also mentioning Louisville has a lot of resources at its disposal.

They closed the article by saying Louisville would likely take swings for Scott Drew and Billy Donovan first before getting either “a current power conference head coach uncomfortable with his current situation” or Josh Schertz. My impression is that Underwood would be someone proper on the list, but that Louisville likely wouldn’t select him.

That’s what I thought plus they can most likely find a HC with stronger tournament records.
I’m actually intrigued to see who Louisville does get. I agree with everything written about their resources, history, etc. But I also know the expectations there are sky high. It will be interesting to see how far they go down the ladder to get their coach.

I’m sure they will ask Drew, and it won’t surprise me if they also ask Billy Donovan to see if he wants a soft landing out of Chicago (I’d certainly make both say no at least once before moving on).
