Reminds me of when Ralph Miller left a successful head coaching gig at Iowa for Oregon State. When asked why, his answer was simple: he preferred living in Corvallis instead of Iowa City.
Yeah, if I was looking for a non-P5 job, the positions in interesting markets would be at the top of the list. Put me near mountains, an ocean, in a major city, etc.
Now everyone has their priorities in terms of location (near family, small town, large city, mountains, ocean, etc.), but I would think jobs like Seattle U., San Francisco U., Long Beach, Manhattan, Denver U. would do well within their conferences at attracting above average coaches and talent.
