I fear for the wellbeing of all Shuvs and Zuuls when Groce takes a new form: that of a giant Slor!

Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day

Could very well be. DJW was not discussed, but he was specifically asked about Nunn and said that he is doing very well at Oakland. He did sound a little bitter but that was my interpretation.

DJW was very inconsistent even at Simeon under Robert Smith and was benched (i.e., less PT) on multiple occasions.

To be honest, DJW is a mystery. He has a lot of skill IMO but consistency is something he has struggled with his whole career, including Simeon under Smith. Not sure what is happening. It would be great if he gets a chance under Underwood and he really performs, because the kid does have skills. But he is a big question mark going forward.

DJ Williams was discussed. Robert Smith admitted that he doesn't know the situation, but wishes he was playing more but he has to do what it takes to earn playing time. I'd say he was bitter about DJ Williams but not Nunn.

Krebs rescued a drowning Alford from Iowa, also hired Locksley and is best known as the AD that found Urban Meyer for BGSU. New Mexico is also the landing spot for former LaLu HC, Alan Huss, who is still there as an assistant.

That would be very strange, Tim Miles barely escaped getting fired. I do not see why New Mexico would hire him.
As a UMM alum, this would be FANTASTIC news! Craig Neal was terrible. I am not so sure Tim Miles problem was Tim Miles, as it was the Nebraska job. He did very well at CSU, could see him picking right up where he left off at UNM!

The timing of the firing is pretty terrible though. I sure hope this came about because UMM found their man.

Chris Dortch @cdortch1:09 PM - 2 Apr 2017 Chattanooga has hired its new basketball coach, former Wisconsin and Akron assistant Lamont Paris.

Has been with the Badgers the last seven years.

That is going to be a rough start. I think Chattanooga just graduated their entire starting lineup and possibly their 6th man. Even with that senior ladden roster they only went ~.500 in their conference. If they do well this coming year, that really says something about Paris' coaching ability.

This is a really bad look for Georgetown. They ran out a guy who wasn't doing a bad job and now nobody wants the position.

Officially Ewing to Georgetown. It was the only way that coaching search was going to end. It had to be a guy connected to Big John. Nobody else was touching that job.

How is that a bad hire? He's like the #1 nba coaching prospect. Only bad part about it is him at any second leaving for a nba job, and I imagine the offers will come soon for him. The process was messed up sure, but they manage to land perfect candidate.

Given JT's outsize influence on the G'Town program, I'm not surprised they went with Ewing. They can't seem to break from the past. I hope that Ewing succeeds, but I don't feel this will end well.

What's the O/U for how many years before he gets that shot at his ultimate job as a HC in the NBA.? He is obviously going to have to be successful at Georgetown first, so that alone will take probably three years minimum to get their program on a positive trajectory. I'm going to guess 4 years.

I tend to think 4, too.

Ewing seems like the right bridge between Big John's legacy and Georgetown moving out of Big John's shadow. I tend to think he'll have success.

He's got 14 years experience as an assistant in the NBA and learned under Van Gundy. He's also going to walk into every recruits house as a former Dream Teamer and Hall of Famer. That, if nothing else, is going to give him a shot with a ton of top level recruits.
