They probably gave their agents a ballpark figure or something to go by and told them to deal with it so they don’t have to.

This should always be the Illini way whether it comes to recruits or coaches or anything else.

Not gonna beg anybody to stay. That’s not the definition of an elite program or a program with pride. Offer them a fair (lucrative!) deal... give them a reasonable amount of time to respond... and if they haven’t gotten back aboard The Orange & Blue Ship... set sail for new Assistant Captains ASAP. This (Illini) ship IS going back to the high profile ports and desirable destinations we all covet. All aboard?!

We need to support those who have been honest, helping bring the program upwards of the past administration and staff. The last few years( outside of the covid) the assistants have recruited and developed those players and recruitment battles, that allowed some being awarded POY- awards, improve skills on the floor and legitimately compete and win against their rivals and bring the program together; the fans, players and coaches to believing and succeeding at one of the best college programs in history.

Orlando Antiqua we Love you and I feel that to pick and play around with coaches (calipari)and associates (because they are dirty and have hurt more people than not is not ideal for you or your family.

The reason why, kenbucky- is attacking this with such $$$$$$$$$$$ and vitriol is they know what Illinois and the staff is tracking and the strive for the greatness(a few good men and a 2022 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.
