I’d bet so. First couple weeks of classes are online and kids can actually transfer pretty easy. Heard a few rumors that a few more will hit the portal. OL and a DB from what I heard.

I can’t tell you how it works at this point in the semester, but a few weeks ago it was mentioned that if players put their name in the portal at that point, they’d lose their scholarship for the spring. So more were expected as we got into the spring, but really no idea how many and where that stands now.
Right? It seems if classes started, then schollies guarnteed for spring? I don’t know the rules. I assume players can finish out the school semester and then transfer afterwards.

This is correct. It’s a win-win for both parties.
The “get 7 more scholarships (25 to 32) rule” is only if the players transfer after the early signing day.
So BB and crew probably told players to wait until after the spring semester started (to guarantee their place at the school and academic part of the scholarship) and will also get the bonus of being able to sign 32 this year since the transfers are happening now.
This has probably been covered, but can we actually sign 32 with the limit going back to 85?

I think it really depends on how many transfer out and how many of the players that have used up all 4 years of eligibility (COVID seniors, 5th year players that redshirted and 4th year players) are asked to come back.

Man it would be nice to have a highly regarded 5 star player choose us again. Not a former 5 star who never lived up to expectations and who was a cast-off of former team.
