This was on Waddle & Silvy with an appearance from Wilbon. Taking it all with a grain of salt because Wilbon was probably speculating on things, at best.

You practice, prepare and be ready for when you get your chance. This could be Ayo's Lou Gehrig Wally Pipp moment as he replaces the injured Lonzo in the Bull's lineup. Lower cost, less injury prone. Lots of upside.

As noted above, Ayo's salary doesn't make him a great fit for a worthwhile trade.

I think people also need to remember that as well as he's doing right now, his perceived ceiling probably remains a bit low. Coby White is now in his third year and yet is one year younger than Ayo.

Part Ayo struggling from the floor and part trying to get Coby going. Coby at 0-9 from 3 was "due". Ayo deferred because he can get his shot, but it's a lot harder when your backcourt partner doesn't need to be guarded. Maybe lowering his ridiculous season shooting percentage popped in to his mind, but I trust Ayo was just trying to lift his teammates.

Wow. With a fractured wrist. The poor kid has had a really tough time of it...I feel bad for Caruso. This probably means not only more time for Ayo, but the Bulls won’t be able to make any trades for awhile, right? BTW, can Grayson get fined or any other additional punishment for his obnoxious dirty play/flagrant 2???
