The wheels are coming off. We have not been able to handle the press. When we break through we let ourselves be trapped rather than attacking rim with numbers.

oof. 22 turnovers. Not saying we could have handled it with Bryant, but being short a ball handler isn't helping.

We gave up more points that quarter than the entire first half. Including 7-7 from the line.

We have not been able to deal with breaking the press all year. Major problem and as good as our coaching has been, well this is a huge failure. Just shows nobody is perfect. If we could have handled the press we could have beat Ohio State, Indiana and now Maryland probably also. We have not even come close to beating it with other teams also. Sorry to say and with a very short bench today it was an even bigger problem.

It’s hard to beat the press with the size of our players. We only struggle against the press with teams like IU, IOWA (which we stole one) . Michigan and Maryland . What do all these teams have in common?

They didn't commit 20 turnovers like we did today. When your point guard has 8 alone, that is a big problem. Sometimes if you are small you have to use a taller player to help break the press. We finally did for awhile today. too little too late.

The aggressive team often gets away with fouling. I see it as a question of length. Let's remember the last time we played in College Park we lost 103-58.
We came close to losing by under ten. Fourth quarter we did a better job of getting the ball to the middle on the press. Jada had a great offensive game and our Mighty Mite Mikira I think played the entire game. I love the spirit. I love where we are headed..

25 to be exact. Maryland had 29 points off turnovers. I'm sure they are working on beating the press, but when you aren't able to execute it's a huge problem. Other teams know it and we clearly don't have confidence when it comes. It's a big problem until we solve it.

Tough game. MD's size too much for us in the 3rd quarter.

Hopefully we will get Bryant back after a week's rest.

Had them for 2 quarters then they showed us why they are #8 in the country.
