Illinois 26, Nebraska 9 Postgame

If we're playing 6 to 7 home games sold out per year. It around 50÷ million. This doesn't account for sponsorships, club level seating. It get to upwards of 100 million. That's what football can do, our administration has in the past not understood this nor cared.
Can you help me with the $50M figure? What does that include? By my calculations ticket sales would top out at 62,872*$359=$22,571,048 (capacity*top season ticket price).

It’s not all profit, but it’s pretty easy to drop $100+ per person between merch, tickets, and concessions. The economic impact to the community is what’s really thru the roof.

I glanced in the game thread and that was a mistake. Nothing but toxic doom and gloom when it was only 9-6. Absolutely no faith in this team or coaching staff.
I think it's less about faith in the team or the coaching staff and more about having been on the wrong end of a 20 year abusive relationship and being quick to assume the worst. I am guilty of this as well but I'm conscious of it, and I'm trying to be a better person. 4-0 vs WISC, IOWA, MINN & NEB??? Are you kidding me? It's like Christmas every single Saturday, and I'm just happy to be here.

You had to be out of town... okay. But why couldn't you wear the orange socks? I MEAN WHAT HAPPENED TO TEAM PLAYER???
It puts the socks on the feet or it gets the hose...

I'm happy we're winning but. BUT. This is the weakest B1G west in memory. Wisconsin and Iowa are absolute crap this year. the last time we won the B1G with Kittner and Lloyd on offense and our "Attack Defense" in 2001 we went to the Sugar Bowl vs LSU and got run right off the field like we didn't belong there. Which we didn't. Fans calling in to the postgame tonite talking about our "Elite" defense and national champ level coverage ought to remember. We are not SEC caliber football. We just aren't. Enjoy what's happening but don't fool yourselves.
You must be a blast at tailgate parties. ;)
