Thought we played pretty solid the last 25 - 30 minutes.
I don't usually have much to say about the TV commentators but shortly after the game started I turned to my buddy and sarcastically asked if Cris Collinsworth was doing college basketball games now because the play by play guy sounded so much like him. Apple didn't fall far from that tree.
And I thought Bardo sounded like an Illinois homer for once. Which I liked. I've always thought it's ok, and even expected, to favor your former team a little bit as long as it's not too over the top.

Not an insider, but not doing any post game interviews and not being a poster boy for any of the games/productions...it's out of site and out of mind for TJ. Very smart.

Besides TSJ’s complete offensive abuse of Buckeye defenders in 2H my favorites:
1. Dain’s supple, buttery, one-handed follow. That was Baryshikov-esque.
2. Seeing Quincy drive from the top of the key to the hole in like three steps. Only I then realized it wasn’t Quincy. lol. It was Amani.
3. Ty. All evening.
4. CoHawk’s tech. Love the guy but it’s about da$n time. Glad he finally paid for his histrionics. I wonder if Brad paid the officials for that. You know, Kevin Costner stylz in Bull Durham taking Tim Robbins down a peg or two. Hope CoHawk learns his lesson so that incontinence doesn’t bite us in March.
5. Harmon = dawg
Not pleased we let them shoot 50%, but fairly solid 2H from us. Gotta tighten the D. Glad we have only one game the next 11 days.
I think best for TSJ, team, university and true Illini fans for him to keep a low profile. Just let his game speak for itself without providing "noise" for those who don't have Illinois in their best interest.
Would like this 100 times. Lag, lag, lag. Poor picture...and I was behind on the game, pausing and watching as evening activities allowed. Then with about 6m to go, they pulled the plug on the game and left me scrambling to hopefully find the replay. I did, to thier credit, but f peacock.

No we beat Minny both times last year.
we had the same miserable experience, every couple of seconds the picture froze and to make it worse, the broadcast just stopped & we didn’t get to see the end of the game. Sure hope we don’t have same problems viewing the other 2 games. Not sure who thought streaming a confernce game on Peacock was a good idea.
