Funny how Pickett and Hawkins have the exact same expression. Pretty sure I had the same look on my face when that went down.

Hopefully Kofi is our starting Center next year. I give it 20% odds. (Not trying to start this convo again)I would guess Dainja, if healthy, will be our starter next year. I also don't preclude us looking for another Big in the portal. Schollies will open up as they always do.
If Kofi gets 2 quick fouls, you have Payne, BBV, and also Hawk can help there. We're deeper at C than the vast majority of college basketball teams.
Luckily Kofi doesn't tend to foul a lot.
I disagree. That format makes my eyes bleed.Tigerboard is as much fun to read as loyalty!
The next transfer has been proclaimed to be better for no particular reason.Don't want to be Debbie Downer but is he still penciled in as our starting center next year?
What happens THIS year in a tough Big 10 game on the road and Kofi gets 2 ticky tack fouls in the first 5 minutes?
He'll stick as long as they pay him. This is likely his last head coaching gig. This makes the John Groce era look like John WoodenI was just checking out Mizzou's future and man it looks bleak. The highest rated player in their current freshman class is #166 on 247. That Brazile kid looks like he could be a steal...was a 185 rating. But will he even want to stick around through the dumpster fire?
I grew up in an Illinois-side St. Louis suburb, so that's probably why it's a big deal to me personally. Probably close to the same number of kids from my HS attending Mizzou as U of I. Probably similar feel to Iowa for those growing up in the Chicago burbs.Great to see the team hitting on all cylinders. Fun win to watch.
Question for all those with intense hatred of Missouri. Did you grow up in southern or central Illinois? I ask because I grew up in Chicago burbs and, while I certainly like to win Braggin’ Rights game, I just don’t have the same hatred for MO that I have for say other teams like Indiana. I’d put IU, Iowa, Purdue, UM, MSU, any top 25 team, and any team Bruce Pearl coaches as teams I want the Illini to beat more than Missouri. So I’m wondering if this hatred was bred into people because of where they group up? Again, don’t get me wrong, beating MO is great and gets better each year.
I grew up in central Illinois and live in STL now. It started for me as a family rivalry since several cousins went to Mizzou. A lot of my wife’s family is from STL and are Mizzou fans even though none of them went there. My wife was 50-50 and made her college choice based on the result of the 2003 Bragging Rights game, or so she says. Thankfully we won.Great to see the team hitting on all cylinders. Fun win to watch.

I grew up in the QC’s, so I see that as the real flashpoint for UI vs. Iowa. Anyway, I’m glad you finally get something to crow about with our win.I grew up in an Illinois-side St. Louis suburb, so that's probably why it's a big deal to me personally. They've got the #52 player in the '22 class.I was just checking out Mizzou's future and man it looks bleak. The highest rated player in their current freshman class is #166 on 247. Friendly reminder to always be grateful for Dan the Man.I disagree. That format makes my eyes bleed.
Clownzo...............................I'm with ya. I just view Misery as an irrelevant rival. Their coach seems like a cocky loser who negatively recruits against us constantly. I remember a good amount of Illini fans were wanting Cuonzo (or however you spell his name lol) to be our next head coach. So glad we pursed Underwood.
I definitely agree that I despise IU, Iowa, Northwestern, Sparty, Fichigan way more than Misery.
I grew up and live in West Central Illinois on the Mississippi with border of both Iowa and Missouri just across the river. I have a healthy hatred of both, but my hatred for Iowa is much greater based on fan behavior in my area.Great to see the team hitting on all cylinders. Fun win to watch.

It must SUK to be in the minority of fan support living in your home state and rooting for the state school!I grew up and live in West Central Illinois on the Mississippi with border of both Iowa and Missouri just across the river. I am not certain of this, but I think BU encouraged Pickett to de-commit.And he was an absolute punk about it, too. He had his chance to be at Illinois, but Marky Mark told him they yell and make you run there.
Kofi coming back for 2 more yearsI would guess Dainja, if healthy, will be our starter next year. I also don't preclude us looking for another Big in the portal. Schollies will open up as they always do.

This isn’t accurate. He decommitted along with Tillman when underwood was hired and then wanted back in but wasn’t re offered. And he was an absolute punk about it, too. He had his chance to be at Illinois, but Marky Mark told him they yell and make you run there.
I grew up Chicago suburbs, but I love this rivalry game. My reasoning:Great to see the team hitting on all cylinders. Fun win to watch.

One of the Illini accounts tagged him on instagram last night so I looked at his page. He has less than 10 photos. 3 of them are from BR the last 3 years. Obviously this game is one he has circledAnd he was an absolute punk about it, too. He had his chance to be at Illinois, but Marky Mark told him they yell and make you run there.
