I'm with you Kramer. Dropped passes were a factor but the other issues pointed out (play calling etc.) were as big if not bigger issues. You have to be able to pound out a yard running the ball occasionally and mix it up (run/pass).

Absolutely. The dropped passes definitely weren't our biggest problem on offense.

So you didn't read the article? Got it.

You're missing my point or I didn't communicate it very well. I said drops were a problem but there were many problems with the offense and drops being one of them.

I can't get that 3rd and 1, WR double reverse pass at Iowa out of my head.

Wouldn't you agree though if you know that your team has problem catching the ball maybe you shouldn't be throwing as much?

Christmas came early with Banks getting the heave ho. That pass coverage was awful, looked pretty bad seeing guys that open in the middle with absolutely no one around.

I agree that the offense had many weaknesses, but the main problem was dropped balls. Bottom line, if we had caught a third of the balls we dropped our offense is MUCH better. I thought Cubit did well given what he had to work with.

I think Cubit did fairly well overall, but there were definitely a lot head scratcher play calls. Hopefully he learns from it and we improve on offense next year.

If we do, we might have a pretty good team (for Illinois standards).

With who we have coming back, we may have a pretty good team by most standards. But knowing out luck, who knows...

Agreed. Cubit did a very good job with what he had and the situation he was in. It seriously makes me excited to see what he can do with a full off season of his own and a healthy Mikey Dudek

BC had the most success with a dual threat QB. With the weakness of our OL they still decided to bring in Lunt with his history of injury and lack of athleticism and run out of town Aaron Bailey who would been more successful, in my opinion given the reps and the vote of confidence. So when its said BC did pretty well with what he had to work with, well, that was his and TB's choice! I'm still bummed by that whole fiasco. Here is his 2015 stats not great but 29 TD's and almost 3000 total yds isn't to bad.

Up until August, Beckman coached corners, and Fej and Barton were pretty good. I don't think Banks was quite the "homewrecker" people think he is.

Meanwhile, Cubit's offense was "basura"

How the heck do you sell someone to join your staff when there is a high probability that you won't be there in 1-2 years.
