If you were recruiting him in NCAA Football 14, he would be an ATH* with attributes for both DB and WR.

He has raw skill on both sides of the ball but I think he is projecting as more of a DB. Either way, Lovie and crew will bring him in and coach him up with whatever position seems to click.

By his senior year, he will be a stud at that position.

*ATH = Athlete (in case you never played the NCAA football video games)

RIP :(

I could be wrong , but the last time we got the best CB in Missouri it was Brandon Lloyd. And that turned out well .

How is the comp in Missouri? I live in Texas now :hurl: so my perspective is skewed

It's a guy a lot of emphasis was put on, so there's both public embarrassment and the opportunity cost of all that time spent, but the fact is it's a lot worse to lose a kid to Indiana or Minnesota or Nebraska than Yale.

There are and will continue to be a lot more Juan Harris' on our board than Micah Awodiran's. To the extent individual recruiting battles are a bellwether, the former kind are the ones to look to.

We've been getting depantsed in the former kind. That's the stuff to freak out about, not this.

The 2017 class is looking like a disaster, but this specific recruitment is a relatively minor reason why.

Uh. What?

The competition iin Missouri is awful that's why their roster is 97% Texas....we shouldn't even struggle for st.Rita kids with LOVIE around..hell its their loss

Losing out to Yale? C'mon man, that wasn't a football decision.

Yeah I don't even see how anyone debates that. That's just a kid purely prioritizing academics over football. Playing football as a back up plan and means to secure a top level education.

Huge get!! The pool of talented OL recruits this year has dried up and this was one the staff needed to land. Excited to see how this class finishes in Feb.

Saw him on the sidelines at tonight's practice. Now that's a big boy! I see pancakes in his future.

This is awesome. Another Missouri lean, plus Arkansas, OkSt. It's been slooooow getting the wheels turning but these are the kinds of battles I wanted to see us winning. Plus Boyd's an impact player in a position of need.

Every battle like the last two we have won, makes the next one that much easier.

I'm confident this will be a good to great class when all said and done

As I posted after the Adams commit, I am really pleased with the quality of the recruits that Lovie has landed so far. He is being patient putting together the quantity, but we haven't seen such a consistent level of quality since the Zook days. This was a big big get, and should end any talk of a disastrous class for a while. I think anywhere from 35-50 is a realistic expectation for where this first Lovie class ends up in the rankings.

Easily a top two commit so far in this class, and at a position of need. Good night for us!
