Another commit with a plenty of P5 offers choosing Illinois. So refreshing to see the jump in this class and with this staff.
Did Knight announce yet? I N I
The more I read about this kid, the more I think we got a really good player who has NFL potential.

"Coach 'em up" has a much different implication when you have a staff like Coach Bielema's and legit P5 recruits, compared to, say, the previous regime and recruits with MAC offers. All players Bret recruits has NFL potential
Posted the gif that this one was done a long time ago …
But now that it’s officially official …
Uncommitted DB Platt would be a pretty good get based on his offer list. Things always change in recruiting, but besides some late under the radar guys we might land, most buzz at this point would come from flipping somebodyAre there any 2024 recruits left that will create some buzz? Outside of the standard "booms", it seems like a lot of thumbs up, then ok, let's move on.

Excellent write up. Brian Robinson would be SWEET!Didn't know former Illini Russell Ellington is Josaiah Knight's high school coach.
Depends on if you are wanting plausible or possible. Deylen Platt is the last remaining, obvious target. He visited Illinois and Ole Miss in June, but seems content with waiting things out into his HS season. Could mean he's waiting to see if a dream school will give him an offer, could mean his top two schools aren't in a rush to get a commitment from him. DeMeco Kennedy also visited but we haven't heard his name mentioned by Illinois media as being a top target, plus things are trending towards Purdue.
If you want ANY possibility - Brian Robinson is still uncommitted. He did a brief visit in June and it seems like Illinois is on the periphery. Lots of big programs that are involved and no one will be slow-playing him. He would be as big of a get as it gets, he's top-100 and would be the highest ranked recruit since Zook was head coach. Still feels like someone like Penn State, Kentucky, Michigan gives him a great NIL opportunity or his preferred combination of history and team success that he's looking for. But maybe Illinois becomes a serious contender if the defensive line shines like we're all hoping? Especially with a great Jacas season. I'm sure the staff is going to continue calling Lightfoot and Luke Williams until they tell them to stop. Miami's NIL program could have serious trouble on the horizon (check out the news), so things could change for Lightfoot. Flipping Luke Williams would push the WR room hype to epic proportions, plus drive a stake into Purdue's recruiting momentum. Ricky Knight and Brett Carroll are likely locked in at Florida State and Minnesota, respectively, but you can always keep tabs in case things change. After those names, you have unknowns that break out during the season. Think of a situation like Jimmy Rolder. With the goodwill created in-state by the current staff since late 2020 and you hope to be in a good situation for whoever shines this fall.

Do you where/who the scholarships are coming from? This is a fantastic breakdown ...
Platt ... Still heavily in the mix ... We would take him whenever he wanted to commit ...
Brian Robinson ... Charlie has got us in the mix ... The top 4 mix ...
Lightfoot ... Wouldn't surprise me one bit if he opens that one back up i
Ricky Knight ... He is not locked in with FSU ..
