Yes, the key factor in helmet design: distance reading.
I doubt the script will be on the helmets. If it is it'll probably be the short hand one on the helmet for the orange jersey like the 70s helmets. I wouldn't be surprised if we get a 70s throwback style orange jersey and a blue and white that look a lot like the Ok State jerseys with the helmet that Bret recently posted.

My last post was about what I thought would look best and what I want, but this is my actual prediction for what Bret goes with:
Home: O/B/O every week. The helmet we have now except with the stripes switched to B/W/B (first two pictures below) and an updated version of our pre-Zook era jerseys (third picture) with striping and outlines similar to the new Syracuse jerseys (yeah, yeah, LOL - fourth picture).
Away: O/W/O almost every week, pretty much looking like the white Syracuse jersey above except with the orange pants from the Illini picture above. Exact same helmet. Bret did seem to like wearing O/W/W a lot, so maybe we will also have a pair of white pants with a B/O/B stripe? RIP my dream of navy pants on the road.
I honestly am not sure if we will have an alternate (i.e., orange) uniform. We have not worn orange jerseys once under Bielema, and we have 'em. I would honestly be okay with that, and our "special jerseys" or whatever could come in the form of all navy for a big night game or something.

BB said in his interview yesterday that supply chain issues have delayed the arrival of the new unis. He said some items have arrived, but waiting on everything to reveal all at once. also said that the new helmets look awesome.

Maybe I’m a few weeks behind the rest of you in piecing together the clues. But wouldn’t it be weird to specifically reference the “awesome” new helmet if it is exactly the same as the old block I helmet but with a B-W-B center stripe instead of a W-B-W center stripe. It would also be weird to have tweeted out a photo of that exact helmet a month ago and still discuss it like nobody has seen it.
yeah i honestly have no idea. Just posted what he said for those that didnt see that video. it's on youtube and I think Dan posted it in another thread yesterday. mainly talking about summer activity but mentioned uni/helmet stuff at the end

Bad News- they kinda look like high school football helmets
Good News- They look like Texas HS football helmets! (Southlake Carroll, Boswell, and a crapton of small school come to mind). I want the local high school to copy the logo on the left hand side btw (I want the "Michigan" winged helmet to be retired but the coaching staff won't go for that, that is their thing).
