I really like Hawkins. He’s smart, is not afraid of contact and protects the rim. He’s got a chance of being really good. With his work ethic, he may earn significant minutes next year.
And he'll be a returning Freshman. He's going to make a significant contribution over the next 4-1/2 years!

I really like Hawkins too and I also think there's a pretty good chance he earns significant minutes. But being the first big off the bench behind senior Giorgi and a transfer big (like Krutwig or similar) rarely leads to averaging 10+ points per game.

I stand by my opinion that if Hawkins is starting and averaging at least 10 ppg that we will be a bubble team.

I am thinking with the arsenal of scorers next year, we might be more balanced. He could get to 15-17. Miller will get his, Giorgi will get his, Goode, Hutch if healthy and Grandy. If Burnett comes in, thats more points delved out. I think he will be a star and he has similarities to Cook. Lots to like about his game.

15-17 points per game?!?!

I don't see a star when I watch Coleman-Hawkins. That takes nothing away from him. I see him as a solid 4 year player who maybe ends up honorable mention or 3rd team All Big Ten.

What??? Barring a Giorgi-like sophomore campaign, Coleman is very likely to see significant minutes next year. Wouldn’t shock me if he’s our starting 4 and averaging 10 ppg. And yes we’ll be a tourney team. If you don’t see a Fletch off-season doing wonders to his already impressive skillset then idk what to tell you.

Giorgi is not playing the 4 in a starting role, We will start Belo, Miller, Hutch/Grandy, Cole and Giorgi. If Krutwig is here, then Giorgi comes off the bench. It Burnett comes also, he will be the 2/3 starter and Grady/Hutch come off the bench .

Is Krutwig just a total figment of IL imagination? I don't see a single tweet in the history of Twitter speculating this.

He reminds me a little of Mike Davis but with a better 3 point shot and a little more developed as a freshman.

If he develops like Mike did we've really got something.

Agreed, Giorgi doesn’t work at the 4 except for very specific matchups.

Seems like he would be a 4 so he would only be a 5 in an emergency, hence still getting his minutes. Not saying he will get 10+ but I'm not betting against him.

Well more importantly, Ayo's Mom, Miller's Mom and Hawkins Mom all love BU.Speaking of Miller's Mom is she still dating Mike Irvin??;)
Don't know about that, but I met her and Adam and was very impressed with both, when talking with his mom I mentioned acewolf, and she did a double take and smiled and we were good. Beautiful inside and out, good people.
