Ok but I mean this is a little overstated. There are some red flags with Tilmon perhaps but the tools are there. If he was really so crappy that he'll be this much of a failure everywhere else, how do you expect him to be "the man" here?

First I didn't call him crappy? By being the man, sorry the inside MAN, yes there are several others Smith/Frazier possible/etc as we go on.

As far as his talent...he is not as talented as many others if not most others that UNC/Kansas will or do recruit yearly...this would mean he will get lost in the shuffle, lack of PT against superior talent, possible sulk, get an attitude and or simply transfer out if he goes to any one of those places.

His talent skill set is perfect for ILLINI recruiting him, yes he has skills, skills enough to rank where he is and get recruited by us heavily...you don't see the Blue Bloods chasing him, however, the ILLINI chased him for what 2-3 years...he simply has talent to justify our current state of being able to recruit and be a stud here...not at a Blue Blood.:chief:

Ayala reclassing to 2017 would be a great pickup, the kid can flat out play, wished we could have gotten his Putnam teammate Malik Ondigo though as well.

I'm not following that logic. Statement was FB ship is gone. To me that means someone filled the schollie people thought FB would use prior to his UVA commit.

:noidea:

I know Brian Bowen listed his final five schools back in September sometime, but not included was DePaul, where he recently took a visit. Anyone heard if BU, Walker, Coleman, or Antigua have reached out to him?

Helps that his coach now works at Depaul.

Don't want him, Trent already have good enough hair, and we don't want that kind of competition going on again, like with Finke and Tracy.

I hope that is the first rule BU implemented. Come out with a man bun and you will see not one single second of playing time. I am cool with expression and being a kid, but the man bun, no that is a situation where a kid clearly has a mental issue going on and we have to help him by just saying no. ;)

man I was about to freak out until I saw that ;)

I find it entertaining that many on this board continue to discuss their recruitment of the East St. Louis big man when clearly our head coach has moved On… The only ones furthering the discussion on his recruitment are those on this board… Coach Underwood stated that the program was not going to beg for anyone to join them… Quite frankly I believe the recruitment in this case has reversed… If the East St. Louis big man wants to consider Illinois and wants to talk I am sure he has a phone number… Let's MoveOn… Plenty of other players we are offering which I believe will have a more positive effect on the program

Completely agree with you. I think the Tilmon discussion got started again after the Mark Smith comments.

Completely agree! I think anyone even MENTIONING Tilmon is wasting their time and valuable space on this thread! No more mentioning Tilmon, people!

As I said b4, till, we see a post or something official from JT, all rest , pure BS. JT has not posted anything for over a month.

:shield::shield:

Well that is kind of true for every recruit, and as we have seen even when you do see it still don't make it true. This is recruiting just have to have fun with it and enjoy the ride till the season starts again. people are way to up tight. We haven't been good in Football or Basketball for a while, but we are still playing and getting Kids, so just sit back and get a few laughs and have a fun time. Or be a stick in the mud and let everything upset you, its your choice to do either

Someone asked who our next commit would be, My guess is "Iggy" Ignas Brazdeikis if we talk him in to moving up a year

Depaul hired his HS coach to be an assistant, expect Depaul to get major consideration. He will not consider Illinois, he was only going to consider if BU hired his HS coach.
