6 months is a long time, especially for a young athlete. We can't even see the landing in that grainy video so speculation is impossible. That said, I'll take vertical impact injury over non contact cutting injury any day.

Tore my ACL in college. Played sports for 3 more years until one day I landed funny and I guess fully tore it. I had a significant limp after that.

I'm hoping it's just a sprain or MCL injury.

I don't know anything about Epperson. Is he more of a true center like Leonard or Tilmon, or is he more of a Tyler Griffey type big with some range but not quite so dominant down low?

Wonder if that wall contributed to injury, not much room to land for a high flyer running at full speed.

Not a "true" center. Likes to face up, has an advanced perimeter game (for a kid that tall). Good hands, good passer, good footwork, good vision. Needs strength. Very high ceiling - could make the League. Legit 6' 11".

Tilmon vs Pickett right now.

Tilman legitimately getting quadruple team. No support cast.

Pickett looks good. Reminds me so much of Malcolm at this stage. He won't contribute at all next year but one year in weightroom at U of I will do wonders.

#Illini recruit @JavonPickett with 23 points for @East_Basketball & #Illini recruit @jeremiahtilmon_ with 20 for East St. Louis; tight game

Smith hits both and it's 72-70 Belleville East with 4.6 seconds to play.

Arthur Carter with the layup to just beat the buzzer and we're going to OT tied at 72. #618hoops #SWCmarathon

East St. Louis 84, Belleville East 77 F OT #618hoops #SWCmarathon

I saw stats of La Lu game last night. It appears Epperson didn't play. Anyone know why?

Our best bet to see Epperson will be the two ESPN games that air on ESPN. One in December and the other in January. Probably will air the national tourney as well. Maybe he went to our game in Miami.

R.J. Barrett backs up No. 2 in 2019 status at Chicago Elite Classic

St. Louis (Mo.) Chaminade looked like life post five-star wing Jayson Tatum and four-star big man Tyler Cook will be just fine. A big part of that is their star junior tandem of Rivals150 wing Karrington Davis and three-star combo forward Jericole Hellems. Despite foul trouble that limited him early, Davis showed off a big time shooting stroke going for 24 points, six rebounds while make 8-9 shots in just 20 minutes. Davis listed offers from Saint Louis, SIU Edwardsville, Middle Tennessee State and Illinois State to go with interest from Butler, Xavier, Missouri, Iowa State and Illinois. Hellems brought the energy all day and attacked the basket at every opporutnity to finish with 30 points and eight rebound in Chaminade's win over Chicago (Ill.) Uplift.

Davis' highlights on Rivals don't impress me (to be fair, it's only a couple possessions). Looks limited athletically and shot looks just okay (does not have a quick release).

Keep thinking about next year's rotation as we stand now.

1 TJL/TF

2 JCL/AJ/DMW

3 DJW/JP

4 LB/KN

5 JT/MF (really wanted Kiir)

Believe this team will be much quicker and will develop over the year. Weak point will be inexperienced PG initially but upside could be huge. Would actually like to see more of MF at 5 this year to give us more quickness. Appears to me that Groce has given up speeding up the action this year as he doesn't have the personnel. Could do it with this team. Believe quickness is key ingrediate for great defense and is where championships are built. Always going to have off shooting nights.

I think we'll still see plenty of MF at the 4 and KN will play some 3. I'm actually excited about the PG spot after TJL has exceeded early expectations. I think the 3 will be the only true question mark.

What I like about that lineup is that the whole team is likely going to be there in 2018 too
