To be fair Nebraska, a Top 10 team, is in town and after being competitive against OSU last week you would think it should be a decent game and good atmosphere. Don't really blame him from going to watch a game for free for a team he has probably watched since he was a child.

He also attended the televised Basketball Practice

Is it possible that she just followed Illinois people back after they initially followed her??

Wilkes is not going to Hoosier Hysteria this year, correct? Yet, he's rumored to be announcing this week, days before the Hoosier Hysteria that he is not attending? If this is true, he's not gong to Indiana. And, I don't think he's going to head west unless his parents are planning on moving to SoCal to be near him to attend his games.

I'm feeling a JCL-esque surprise commitment...

I don't think anyone has stated that. It's been more along the lines of playing 'What if?' Some have said if he doesn't attend HH then that will be a clear indication that he isn't going to IU. If the rumors are true that he is announcing this week then we won't have to wait to find that out.

Not really, Wilkes has given no indication whether he will attend or not. He had also not given any indication that he would visit IU again today.

As far as JCL, his recruitment coming down the stretch had a totally different look and feel to it. While JCL was not a prime candidate early on, things really heated up the last two weeks leading up to his official UI visit and his announcement right after his visit was no surprise at all. Actually expected.

If Wilkes commits to UI, it would be a monumental surprise. Totally different look and feel to it than JCL.

You're a source I trust, even though I hope you're wrong about tilmon. Just to be sure, are you counting UCLA completely out?

He is a source I trust as well. But as with all sources, recruiting is fluid. I trust what he says, when he says it, but anything beyond that is buyer beware... ;)

Tilmon is not going elsewhere. H was just on campus trying to help get another recruit to commit.

Groce is down at East St. Louis 2-3 times a week visiting Tilmon. The only other coach who has been there has been Cuonzo Martin. No T. Ford at all.

Haven't heard any chatter about Tilmon going anywhere. Someone posted two months ago he was going to reopen his recruitment that he made a rush decision. Well apparently he is in no rush to open it back up either.

Yeah it was the same guy who people are now saying they trust as a source. He was right about Goodwin but 100% off base on Jeremiah so I'm pretty torn on takin the guy seriously. I like what he's saying about Wilkes but am cautiously optomistic. As I am with most things Illinois haha

Thinking about finishing second for Kigab: we seem to be in the running for just about every talented kid coming out of Canada lately. It's clear that we have a good presence up north. I think we'll likely see the Canadian pipeline pay dividends the first time we're in on a kid who's not being recruited by Oregon or a blueblood. No idea who could be in the mix in 2019, but it wouldn't surprise me to see a few Canadian prospects prioritized.

Or Gonzaga

This is all cool to read, and even if it's true, we gotta remember recruiting is fluid. Wilkes' mind could literally change 1 second before his announcement. Let's just all remember we have Tilmon and bask in that wonderful glory! :D
