fwiw, just a message board, but they started out all ticked off because of KW's comments about trust etc but yesterday and today have turned very optimistic and are hearing the visit went very well. My totally personal guess is it's down to us and Indiana and Indiana has the edge due to the longstanding ties and an equally good official visit. If he goes to HH, that would no doubt be all she wrote. We were always a longshot.

Visits almost always go well. Pretty rare that a kid just hates a visit, so word getting out that his IU visit went well should not be surprising or particularly worrying to anyone. I agree that IU probably has an advantage, but as others said the longer it goes the better that is for us.

Thanks for the link.

He has been to HH multiple times, not sure I would put much stake into if he does or doesn't go to HH, maybe a bit if he doesn't show up, but a kid from Indy showing up for HH should be the expectation. Just glad to still be in the conversation, the way I look at it is we are playing with house money on this one.

I don't disagree with what you're saying TCTornado. I'd say the longer, maybe the worse for IU. But, all the "intel" suggests IU is the team to beat here and the chatter from his parents to reporters is he would be there for HH.

Again, time will tell but right now IU is in the drivers seat but, in recruiting, A lot can change. And sometimes very quickly.

I don't think anyone would disagree with IU being the team to beat. The real question is how much the other schools have closed the gap. If Wilkes doesn't commit this week, then I bet the gap between IU and Illinois has narrowed quite a bit, to the point that they're not in the driver's seat.

For some reason, visits to LVille always seem better. :)

On This Board & especially on this thread, "Recruiting is Fluid!" :)

Looks like traveling to me too. But no denying this guy is far far advanced beyond his years.

Looks like it but it's not. I have a point guard who is extremely good at manipulating his dribbles and footwork. I think it's just a timing thing that really good players have that gives them an extra edge.

Walker quoted someone who tweeted at him about committing early and his response was "you never know 😉". I think he commits on his unofficial. That would be huge to have him locked up already.

That seems to be the rumor going around.

I realize he hasn't committed yet, and it's a huge long shot, but this was just an observation that popped into my head.

When was the last time that the top 2 players in Chicago (Walker and Jacobs, in this case) were both committed this early in the process?

It's Wednesday, is this the day that Wilkes commits or does he just cancel his remaining 2 OV's??:D
