Name a recruit that's gone to IU and she followed them if they got off campus without the committ.

I don't know how seriously you take recruiting, but an Illinois fan would have to be one hell of a creep to know that.

Lots of chatter privately seems to be about Wilkes to IU but UCLA sure is fighting tooth and nail.

Or maybe The Wilkes' put some time and thought into all this so that the kid can have his moment and make an announcement where everybody is unsure. If he goes to HH, it's a tell to IU right? If he doesn't go, IU is out right? Well what if he doesn't go to HH, but takes an unofficial to IU the week prior? Keeps everyone guessing. That's the name of the game. Prolly why his GF is following UI staff and athletics. IMO this is being played very well by Kris and fam.

Justin Albers of ITH just tweeted that Wilkes' Dad and brother plan on attending HH but not Kris. How strange is that!!:D

It's weird. Why are so many IU fans hopping on this board to talk about an IU recruit that has an outside chance of going to U of I? Why wouldn't they go to an IU board? This isn't a complaint, nor do I mind, but I don't know why they want a U of I slanted perspective on this. I hope it's not a gloating thing, cause that would be unfortunate.

They're on IU boards, they just come here to see if we've got any new info. At least I assume so, because that's what I do. I just never post on any other boards. Usually nothing good can come of it. (But not always -- I've seen some civil discussions on most boards between other fans except on Michigan and Michigan State or Kansas-Missouri -- nothing ever stays civil for long among those fans.:))

If people stay respectful, I see no harm of IU fans giving their perspective. Plus in the specific recruitment, I believe some UI posters did ask for IU fans to share their perspective.

I think TCTornado just likes to stoke the fire/stir the pot and get people talking.

That could very well be, but he's also made several posts that are almost prophetic. He was hinting at Wilkes missing HH about 2-3 weeks ago if I'm remembering correctly.

Good move for Loyola. Willing to take Negron and have him likely redshirt his first year is a way to get s player who probably wouldn't have gone there if he hadn't been injured.

This was the only chair left after the injury.

Historically your assertion about Marni is completely wrong. Name a recruit that's gone to IU and she followed them if they got off campus without the committ.

As Twain would say there are lies, damn lies, and twitter follows...maybe the guard your about to lose to G'Town is the first example...but seriously if you want to hang your hat on Marni twitter follows good for you, I think you have just hit a random event and are drinking to much red koolaid, eating candy canes, viewing life through red glasses, or whatever IU fans version of making stuff of to fit your narrative is.

Here we listen to hot dog vendors & barbershop reports...its fine, but call me skeptical.

What is wrong with Hotdog vendors? Sometimes they are full of useful information

Very true. This is reminding me alot of the robert Johnson recruitment though.

We have Alex Bozich and Marni indicating IU. While all the press goes to another big name program.

For what it is worth looks like Bozich stuck with Waters to IU....wasn't the premise that when he picks IU he is almost always right.

So now we are just hanging on twitter follows of the assistant AD...no worries IU has Wilkes in the bag.

Why when I hear Marni from IU do I get a mental picture of the cleaner Raymond Reddington almost killed a couple episodes ago and who is now in some cabin chained to a bed with hamburger as the side of her face?

There is a difference between coming on this board to see information and leaving stuff behind. You yourself can determine what stuff means in various cases.:rant:

Does anyone have insight into what exactly goes on during a "home visit" How is it different than official visit? Like do they only talk about the program and selling it? Is there more/less interaction with the parent(s)?
