Single greatest play of the year. His vision is amazing! If Hawkins would have finished the play.....Wish the best to Curbelo, whether here or elsewhere. I scrolled through the IllinoisLoyalty timeline on twitter looking for his pass to Hawkins during the BTT that was just. He sometimes tried to do too much, other times the ball just didn't go in. I, for one, blame the concussion/ COVID, just felt like he never really got into game form this season. Best of luck to the kid and hope his health, both mental and physical, are okay in the long run. He can be a magician on the court.

Can CURBELO, improve his 3 point shooting, playing the PG, starting with a lineup that features a True (KOFI) dominant big will present less double teams, because we will have shooters left and right (EPPS, Luke GOODE- can move inside and post; because he has a strong Body and basketball I.Q. to lead a unit with great shooting as the formula for winning. RJ is apt to getting ahead of the break by, moving on the perimeter in the offense and playing the middle, because he is long and quick. Adam Miller and AUSTIN HUTCHINSON- who lost another season due to injury- may come back big time to change the missed opportunities and shots into great OFFENSIVE EFFICIENCY & a lot of 3's and flying ILLINI DUNKS. OH YEAH: I think OMAR Payne definitely can play with ANDRE 100% because he caught a few alleyoop from the magician himself. Andre Curbelo doesn't have to be an offensive star....here he just has to run the team -and get the ball to the players who are ready to score. Adam Miller and Andre Curbelo played great against Michigan in the BIG ten tournament and believe me (Brad)and the coaching staff have some of the best players that can run and shoot with anybody if ADAM&ANDRE are healthy.

Not clear those are two different people.
Curbelo could be, could be a super star All American next year. IMO, you cannot count this year of injuries against him. I sincerely hope he doesn't leave.

Sounds familiar. Wife and I with three degrees from UIUC, both kids entered as Chancellor's Scholars essentially as sophomores with 30+ hours of credits. They have three degrees between the two of them, too!

I’ve been reading for days now regarding AC and his transfer.
I will state that I’m convinced the vitriol, negativity, and personal attacks have played a role in this situation. I’ve been a big supporter of AC based on his unique vision and skill sets. I also have been frustrated by him forcing and appearing to consistently want to make spectacular plays that frequently result in turnovers.
I’m resigned to his transfer if that’s what he chooses.
We have a couple classes of highly rated gairds abs wings...so I think we come out of this just fine.
What’s not being talked about, that really bums me out, is the chatter that CH will be transferring. I see NBA all over this guy, so that one stings.
We will miss CH and his incredible skill sets and development much more - IMO.
Hope somehow our insiders are missing on this one and he stays.
